Reginald Marsh was so right for the role of “Sir”. Fabulous casting. His “Good God” reaction to Tom’s suit still lives in my memory decades later. Absolutely priceless.
Snetterton was played by Philip Madoc who will go down in TV comedy history as having played the German U-boat commander who asked Pike for his name in ' Dads' Army '.
Yes indeed 🙂, all gone now as orchestrated by the weirdo lefties n the dodgy BBC ---bloody lefty socialist communist brigade !! All fun in the world has gone now. It's a bleak future for comedy n fun in England n UK. 🤫😔
Next to Lucy and the medicine commercial, and WKRP's Thanksgiving turkey drop, this is perhaps the most hilarious episode in the history of television.
the man with the bald head was in an episod of fawlty towers. he was in the bar area of the hotel, shouting at mr fawlty about wanting his gin and orange.
certainly turned heads with his green suit and not only snetty in dads army and porridge but also got blown up in the shed by the darleks not the best hiding place from the karled eterminators
@Welshman2008 Yes he is!!! Its def the best ep of DA, It ALWAYS makes me laugh, dont jmatter how many times you see it. I like his fish and chip order - hes great! :)

Margo looked absolutely stunning inn that black dress and her hair pushed back, gorgeous
She's still a handsome woman.
Agreed. She always had an angry nose, sadly.

Another classic featuring the late great Richard Briers.
Another example of what great comedy used to be like.
