    "Thank you veh-veh much". Isn't this guy from Iowa?

    • @hemiolaguy
      @hemiolaguy 4 года назад +10

      Yes, he's from Iowa, but when one spends as many years in another country as Bryson has, the accents and rhythms of the speech of that country will inevitably color one's native accent.

      I know this is old but the man has been living in England since he was 25 of course he will pick up some British accent or slang. It's inevitable.

    "I did absolutely nothing to earn it." *Silence* Apparently they weren't aware this was a joke.

    Only because he is Mr. Bryson, i will tolerate his arrogance hidden within his pompous rhetoric

    US Professor (Year 2016): 1:28, Donald Trump cannot be your president ...
    Presidential Election (Year 2017): Donald Trump becomes 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

    Donald Trump could never be your president" hahaha...my respect for Bill Bryson just died. I wish I did not have to hear about all the musicians, actors and authors I adore, say hateful things about a man I truly love, it ruins everything. Shame on hateful people, they are ignorant and do not know the man.

      Political remarks needs to be left out of speeches. We, as a country are further divided because famous people thinks it is their duty to make remarks downplaying the other side.

    So sad... I thought Bill Bryson was a clever man... but he starts by criticizing Trump. Does he prefer Biden? It must be early senility. So sad...

    • @ecosseza4030
      @ecosseza4030 2 года назад +7

      He is clever. And that’s why your comment reveals more about your intelligence.

    • @stevengrant2315
      @stevengrant2315 2 года назад +3

      Even a clever man may wish to vent about a fool. Pobody's perfect. Also, this video is from 2016. Secondly, naysaying Trump does not automatically point to preferring Biden.

      He was kidding about most of the stuff he said, so why not assume that he was just going for some laughs about Trump as well?
