- An instrumental of another Chuck Berry song the stones covered.
Removing the vocals for early Stones songs (most are in mono) is hit or miss. Sometimes the music sounds clear, other times it can be pretty garbled and require further work. This is one of the best ones I’ve heard so far.
It’s nice to hear just Keith and Brian. Shut up Mick I want to hear the guitars. 😎
This song is driven by Brian Jones' rhythm guitar! Played so fast and perfectly.
Brian is perfection.
I don't why but I like this Stones version of Carol better than the original Chuck version. This for me is the definitive version of Carol. It just rocks harder.
One of the greatest covers of all time
Love hearing Brian & Keith rocking out together on these early Stones recordings, back then the band generated a very exciting sound indeed!
And to think in 76 everyone was rattling on about the " energy of punk" ha ha THIS is energy !
Smashing. 🇨🇵
Gotta love peeling back layers of songs to hear what’s underneath. Nice job with this one!
One of my favorite covers ever
Slowed it down one notch to .75, sounds cool.
..and the drumming is spot-on!
Great!
🎶🎼🔝.....
How about Down the road a piece Instrumental ?
Funny you should ask because that's one I've been working on recently. I'd like to clean up the remnants of the vocals a bit more but it's almost done 😃
one of my favourite Stones tracks just love the playing
@@Famulus9 Great news my man. Thanks for all your hard work on these, it's a lot of work and I, for one, appreciate the results.... Side note, The Rolling Stones Now is such a great album, in my top 5 Stones albums. The boys chose some great songs to cover and did a great job on each one. Love the lyric to Down Home Girl.....
@@Famulus9 Down The Road… is one of the great covers. Charlie swings. It’s just a shame that it is so short.
It was even shorter when they played it live. Only 1:40 secs.
@@BigSky1 I agree. It would have been great to hear it live in the early 70s when Stu was playing piano for them on tour. I think it was performed a few times in the 80s?
Beatles no 1
Whoaaa....duude....
Rosetta Tharpe
@Jay (-:
This is pretty much the backing track to any chuck berry song.
The white tele
@Jay more likely the white Fender Telecaster Brian is playing 😉
How do you remove the vocals if the sound is monaural?
THIS IS PRETTY COOL HERE KIDS
