I just came home from the hospital
The scariest experience of my life.
My lips and nose were swollen, I could feel my blood pumping all over my body and my heart was going crazy and I had this itching all over my body and now i have red welts all over my chest, neck and arms.
I knew something was wrong and called my brother and we went to the hospital, I couldn’t breathe and my stomach was cramping like crazy. I felt like i was gonna be sick in the car.
I felt like i was gonna die.
    Thank god I took action.

I literally just went through this last night. Went to er. Couldn't breath barely. Legit thought I was going to die. Everything still swollen too. Red welts appear the most at night and when you itch them. My face is still swollen but my throat isn't closed up. This is day 2. It sucks so bad.

@NoRiceToEat update, it took 6 full days for the itching and hives to go away. They first started to disappear on my head and ears and neck, then my arms hives disappeared. Then my chest and stomach. Then my thighs. Then legs. Feet were last. Now I'm all better and haven't had a breakout since.

I think I Just experienced this a few minutes ago, I’ve had a severe dairy allergy all my life and I just ate some captain D’s fish and fries, I almost finished but my mouth suddenly started feeling itchy/swelling up, so I drink some water then my heart started racing and my head felt very heavy & dizzy so I quickly go in my medicine stash and take two half’s of some Benadryl tablets and after that the symptoms wore off, so I’m assuming whoever made the orders got sloppy and contaminated it with something that I couldn’t eat, that was probably one of the most scariest things I’ve ever experienced

So I got an allergic reaction 3 weeks ago, the person from the pizzeria told me there weren’t any tree nuts, peanuts, etc in the pizza, I asked Twice, the two times I asked they told me no. Once I ate it, my tummy started to hurt really bad and I had very bad nauseas as I walked for 30 minutes straight. I was getting worse each step so we went back with the parents(I was with my friends, and the parents were really far away from us.) So when we got back, I sat down and I fell a little bit better but then all my body started to itch, starting with the neck. I got really bad hives so I drank a “corticoide” that was “caducado” but my father told me that I could still drink it. After drinking the “corticoide” we went to Emergency and there I lay down on the bed a room of the Emergency room and they told me “you should’ve used an Epipen/adrenalina because two organs were infected” and they only gave me another “corticoide” but I think it was Atarax but more effective.
    Sorry for telling my story;-;

She already knew that she was allergic to shellfish, but she loves it and wanted to try it, the thing is, 20 minutes later, she started to feel bad.
He broke out in hives, starting on his face and going down to his feet.
She started vomiting, and my dad took her to the hospital.
And it all worked out in the end, but he hasn't eaten any kind of seafood since.
Aside from that allergy, she's allergic to bee stings.

I got bit by a spider sleeping, I woke up very sick to my stomach, then as I stood up my arms were on fire and itching, as I went to walk upstairs to my son, I'd pass out every couple steps, struggling to breath because my throat was closing, my lips began to swell. My son woke up, looked at me and freaked out getting dressed and running me to the er. I have no allergies and the first time that it happened I was 40. Always carry an epi pen, even if you never had anaphylaxis, you only have 15 mins to get to the er before you die.

If you are American, I would highly advise against wasting 500$ epinephrine for hives. As hives go that is not Anaphylaxis. But just an allergic reaction. Take the epinephrine only when you start to feel as if you will be fainting or having issues breating.

Hives only means it's just a local allergic reaction which should be treated with histamine. Anaphylaxis is a systemic (whole body) reaction that has skin involvement (e.g rash, hives, swelling of face or tongue, etc) and involves one or more systems:
      * Respiratory- stridor, shortness of breath, chest tightness, etc.
      * Cardiovascular- low blood pressure, fainting, etc.
      * gastrointestinal- nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
Anaphylaxis is treated with adrenaline/ epipen

In the middle of one night, I woke up feeling my throat tightening and having difficulty breathing. I'm not sure if I can stay until the morning. I use google to know what drug can I take to make me feel better, one of the articles recommended amoxicillin and I happen to have it so I take it. The next morning my throat is not as tight and swollen, and everything feels better until few hours later. Turns out it does heal my food allergy but I'm having an allergic reaction to the drug I take! It flares the hell up my autoimmune condition for several days.
