In this video, we explore Las Ramblas (La Rambla, The Rambles) in more detail.
We take a tour of the whole of Las Ramblas, stopping off at La Boqueria market and the Gothic Quarter.
We finish the video off with a well deserved pint down at the Marina.
La Rambla / Las Ramblas is a 1.2km, tree lined street in the heart of Barcelona. It is very popular with both tourists and locals alike.
Las Ramblas connects Plaça de Catalunya in the centre, with the Christopher Columbus Monument at Port Vell.

Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint RUclips channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. More of this amazing travel day. I so loved it. We had a lot of trouble taking many good photos in the Barri Gotic... everything's so tall and close! Those little markets you find everywhere though are a total treasure. Thank you for this Rach and Wills!

Loved spending a "tacky tourist day" with you Rachel and Wills. Visiting a "pickpockets paradise" too! What could be better than that? We enjoyed the beautiful Gothic Quarter. The small streets, buildings and wonderful food were lovely and or delicious! But wait, if we lose our wallet we won't be able to afford to drown our sorrows, Rachel. Unless, your buying of course! The ice cream looked awesome. So many souvenirs! Beautiful church. It was such a long tome ago that I was in Barcelona, that I have forgotten so much of it. I love oysters. 🦪 Bloody seagulls 🤣 The Tapas was the best in Barcelona, and you are right about the pricing. Thank you for the tour Wills and Rachel. I recall one of my travelling companions was having their pack picked when we were on the train in Madrid. Spain's city is prolific with pick pickpockets. Loved the street entertainment. We’ve never done tapas in the gothic quarter before (only up by our hotel a fair few years back by Sants station) the price difference was notable!! So many people we know have had bags stolen. We consider ourselves lucky it hasn’t happened to us. Barcelona is honestly one our favourite cities and we’re lucky it’s so close. A good day always ends with a pint !!! What a lovely ramble round town. The pick pocket bit - I've had a cabin bag taken in an unguarded moment. Bother dash it all. Was quite an invasive feeling. Love Spain and have learned a thing or two ( three really). Found some wifi where we are at the moment. French Internet- well the least said the better.... bye for now. Liked #25, great snippets of small taste of what Barcelona has to offer. Great city for Gaudi masterpieces!!! A kid was eyeing to steal my camera by following til I turned around and the kid pretended to havr lost something on the ground twice! My friend got his phone stolen the very next day! Cops only will chase them down if the value is more than 300 euros. They are dampers, otherwise a beautiful city! Happy to support your channel 😎 👍 take care

Muy Bueno!!! I think it was around 2007 the last time we were in Barcalona and I think Las Ramblas still had some live animal stands. As far as petty crime went if you looked carefully, especially around the dodgy magicians and 3 card trick scammers, you could see the the pick pockets working the crowd. We loved La Boqueria - we wandered through sampling the jamon. Love jamon. I think there was a really good sandwich place (Cafe Swiss???) very close to the market that had great sangers and coffee. Plus it must've been in the gothic quarter there were, as you mentioned, awesome tapas and AND AND!!!! CHURROS!!!! Barca had some great churros. And tapas. So much tapas. I think next to Japanese food, tapas (and pintxos from up in the Basque country) is our fave, especially with un cañas de cerveza or dos. Oh and crema catalana. Gawd I love crema catalana. We met up with friends in Madrid (after Barca) and they were amused at the lengths I went to find crema catalana.
Dammit, you've got me rambling on about Spanish food again when I should be, I dunno, sleeping or making videos or something. 😂
PS during that 2007 Euro trip I was going through my "I must have a fridge magnet from every two bit town we visit". I came back with dozens and dozens... At least I could find a magnet almost everywhere. But when we first went to Rome some decades ago I was obsessed with finding a Pope Soap On A Rope. Never did find one. 😂

Cheers Shane, glad to rattle up some memories from your Barcelona trip. The first time me and Wills went there together the animal section was till there. Loved it as a kid, hated it as an adult. We don’t really do Churros, we’d rather have the jamon and dos cerveza!! Loved the little meat and cheese cones they were doing in the market though! Glad your fridge is well endowed with magnets now! We must share with you our favourite mug Jesus saves/Jesus shaves!! Creo en todas partes hay estos problemas. Y cuanto más turismo haya peor. Si vas de turista a una ciudad y actuas como tal es tu perdición. Creo que es un fenomeno global.
You’re absolutely right. Sorry that happened to you in Bournemouth. I shop in Liverpool at Christmas and that’s renowned for it too, but I’ve never had a problem.
