In South Africa we love this song so much, in fact in South Africa we have something called Sunday Chillaz every Sundays where we play this kind of music the whole day
I wrote this song. It was produced by the late great Gerald Lavert. I was shocked but happy to discover that Geoff is a contestant on the TV show THE VOICE this season. Good to him and his re-surging career!
You wrote a beautiful heartfelt song. Some people walk away easily forgetting who was there for them......"doesn't that mean something" love this and Geoff gives it the emotion it deserves.
After living in the USA for while i was shocked at how this music is more played and appreciated back home in South Africa than it is there. No one loves Soul and Rnb like we do.
I heard this song during our Brother Mashata's funeral and I fell inlove with it 💙💫🌺❣️ this is a beautiful song! 🥰🌻 Brother Mashata still continues to share his favourite songs with us even in Spirit. 🤍
I heard it first from Mashabela performing it at a comedy show and I didn't know the name of the artist and song and I sent him a whatsapp earlier and he sent it back to me. It's a such a jam. The bass is doing the things that made the pots not to be found
Just watched Dj Mashata's tribute video.. people were singing and crying for him to this song. I'm sad. Beautiful song dedicated to a beautiful person rest easy Mashata 🪻
The legendary Bra Eddie loved, played and lived this soul, R'n B music such that you could even swear that his hospital ward he was delivered in was a R 'n B music production studio!...RIP Bra Eddie
On this day 3 yrs ago I’d start a journey unknown. Widowhood. Everyday I thank God for mercy. I thank God for I’m getting a day closer to the love of my life. Our road trips from Jhb back home Eswatini to our 2 girls. This song. Leg on dashboard. He’d look at me and say “LaDlamini wami” ohhhh heaven is rejoicing. I’m still holding it down for the girls. Will see you someday my beautiful Melusi Tumelo Sgwane.
There's a very big beautiful connection between RSA & USA. We have consumed so much songs and culture from of our sibling's over in the States. You can see by most of the comments on classic songs such as this one...it's all love from Mzansi.
When I say South Africans and RnB old school can never be separated I literally mean it ❤ we are applied when it comes to music and you can never ever change our taste in music. All this new garbage doesn’t phase us
I heard this song in a taxi and I had to record the last part so I can search for it on Google and I was so happy to get it and damn this song is on another level... I listen to it every single day.. What a song.!!
This song make me think of all the festivals I go to and Sunday Soul sessions and where there is Dj Young he kills it. South A!! we the best country 🇿🇦 Dont forget.
These type of music reminds me 2019 when I was in cape Town every Sunday I used to play these kind of music because it's when I felt lonely and missed my family
Geoff and I started out in the same band (Whisper Wind, from Lexington, NC) in the early '80s. His talent, even back then, never failed to just blow me away! Singing and harmonizing with him was always a divine experience! He's a wonderful soul with an equally beautiful voice, and I'm so happy he continued his love for making music!
I don't know why soul is under rated In other countries yet here in South Africa is our remedy. And also having sunday sessions(chillaz) where we only play such music.
I was driving back from Durban alone one Sunday afternoon listening to Radio 2000, and if not mistaken, the legendary Ike Phaahla played this track. Now this is a legend on South African Radio, and in the early 2000s, he hosted a mid week 9-12pm show at his then employ Radio Metro called Choose n Breeze. This song caught my attention from then onwards to date, the likes of the late Eddie Zondi, Msizi The MG Shembe, Rowena Baird, and finally Mr Shoobaba Doo Shooba the late Grant Shakoane ❤
I just went to South Africa home and went to Spur only to find out I’ll enjoy my meal while listening to this song!!! I had to google it and now I’m hooked. ❤️💯👌
