Love, love, love your sketchbook, your paintings are amazing, you have this unique way to capture the character of the bird, I could look at it forever, I’m a fan, thank you for sharing!
I came about your channel quite by accident. I love your bird paintings but the Dark Eyed junco and Hyacinth Macaw and the Red Wattled Lapwing are a triumph. I’m Irish and live in Dublin. So happy to hear you had a great time here x
Ahh, you're from Ireland, I loved it there so much! I hope to visit again one day, I think I felt most at home there of anywhere I've travelled before. Thank you for the kind comments, I was especially proud of the Red Wattled Lapwing. Thanks for watching! 🥰
I honestly do love the paper - they use Fabriano and it's very luxurious. What I don't like about the book is that it's so expensive and the hardcover seems to make it not as approachable for me to paint without hesitation. I find them intimidating. It's not as easy to throw in a backpack or pull out because of the hard cover and it also makes it seem more 'premium' so I'm scared to use it most of the time for fear of painting something awful and wasting the paper. 🙈 I really had to push myself to just finish this book. If it wasn't hardcover I feel I would use it a lot more.
Such beautiful paintings in your sketchbook!! ❤❤ Our trip to Ireland a few years ago is one of my favourite vacations. My husband did the Guinness tour (and loved it), but our son was quite young back then, so my mom and I took him for a tour of an old prison instead. Beer or prison… hmmmm. I’m intrigued by a couple of your paintings where you left parts of the sketch unpainted in black and white… I need to think of a subject and give that a try!
Thank you so much! 💕 Ireland is so pretty, isn't it! I really enjoyed my trip there as well. Haha - the prison sounds interesting too! 😁 Maybe once your son is older that can be a reason for a return trip. I know I'd definitely love to go back one day. ☘️
@@LeanneLandArt I would *love* to go back to Ireland! My son is 20 now, it would be a much different trip these days than when he was 11 lol. We had actually planned to return to Ireland (and visit Scotland as well) in 2021 to celebrate his high school graduation… and… well… 2021 was FAR different than we expected so there were no big trips that year 😂.
I just happened upon you, and I love your style! This is what I would like my own drawings and paintings to resemble!. Are you self taught? Your sketches are so cool, thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I am self-taught. I honestly didn't think I could draw until about 6-7 years ago, so I guess it's never too late to learn. RUclips has helped a lot to grow my ability, by watching other artists and how they attempt sketches. Thank you so much for the kind comments! ☺️💕
Doves are for peace so your grandmother was sending you peace at christmas, also for love so there you go, very lucky
Thank you so much for mentioning that - I didn't even consider the symbolism of the dove. What a lovely, comforting thought! ❤️
brilliant illustraions. the birds look amazing. well done. thank you
Thank you so much! 😊
Love your sketches. I loved visiting the Guinness location too. Great birds!
Thank you so much! 😊
Beautiful sketchbook! Colors look very vivid on your birds.

Thank you so much for a close-up video of a cardinal bird! I love your style, both with and without liner, your watercolors look so vivid!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind comments! 🥰 Cardinals are pretty amazing, aren't they! ❤️

@@FaithAnnNB Ahh, that would be nice to return. Scotland would be amazing too, I would love to visit there some day! 😊

Lovely sketchbook! I’ve always wanted to try the Etchr sketchbook. Did you choose the hotpress or coldpress?
Thank you! I tried the cold press, I believe they use Fabriano paper. It's really nice to work on. 😊
