Very, very helpful. It's unfortunate that some cards are simply incompatible with some layout. I'm not a fan of cable going above the cards itself, It looks awkward in my opinion.
Any good suggestion for rtx 4090 rog strix im on Lian Li 11OD Razer Edition and my cable is outside the case😢 judging by video i need the most thin adapter for case to be closed

@@hulluulkko1297 i found solution finally closed the case and all works great got ATX 3.0 adapter from amazon there is plenty space till side glass

Adapter A is for asus rog strix 4070ti?
tuf 4090 ekwb block with right angle fittings that are aimed toward the front of case for the o11 distro plate (not vertical mounted gpu). will it the hardline tubes block the connector/cable? I want to buy one but i'll have to wait for local retailer so i can return it easy if it doesnt fit

I'm having a lot of issues trying to find an RTX 4080 that will fit on my case "Lian Li O11 Dynamic", and the adapter might be the only way to solve the issue. But I'm debating between getting the Asus Strix 4080 or the MSI Suprim. The Asus model is 149.3mm and the MSI is 142mm, I've heard that the Asus connector is slightly recessed, so it does not sit flush, you have both cards, it would be really helpful if I knew which one is thinner once you add the adapter (I will get the 180 degrees because it's thinner than the 90 degree one). Hope you can help. Thanks a lot!
Do you already have a gpu in that case, cuz that's gonna be an extremely tight fit. The dimensions lian li gives for the case seem to be completely off or atleast don't take the motherboard in account. I have an MSI 1080 in the Dynamic and the cables are pressed up against the glass. According to the msi productpage the 1080 is 140mm. If you were to try it I would go for the 4080 from msi and pray that the adapter gives enough clearance. The adapter takes about 14mm of clearance. I'm personally going for a TUF 4070ti which is 138mm and a cablemod 180 adapter.
@@davykeizer8170 I had a 3090 FE a while ago, and it fitted the case no issues because the cable was in a 45 degree angle, don't know why they got rid of that, it solved the clearence issues. Also I got a TUF 4080 with the intention of putting it vertical, unfortunately the PCie adapter gave problems and the cards wasn't working properly, had to return everything, and now I'm still waiting for a solution ;(
CableMod makes it easy to identify which GPU you have to which Model (A|B) you need.. clearly matching the wrong model is going to create problems. Its not hard to figure out ;)

oui, j'ai la même carte , il faut prendre le type(variant) B de mémoire , la carte est dans leur liste de compatibilité sur leur site, après ça fait cher l'adaptateur 39€ +15€ de fdp.. pour un produit made in china sur lequel j'ai un doute rapport qualité/prix.. je verrai a l'utilisation.

So I have the alphacool block on a 4090 strix, in a vertical mount y60 case. I bought the type b 180 to run the cable behind the card. It works with a lot of clearance. To make it better I made a support brace that clips on the alphacool backplate so the adapter gets supported. Without it it’s able to pull down too much. Cablemod has built in left and right movement for perfect alignment. I thought it was defective but if you look on their support/ 12vhpwr adapter faq it’s normal for the little bit of twist in the male side. The female (cable side) is solid. I posted pics in the cablemod reddit thread of it before I made the support base. Hope this helps.
Non active bp I can confirm. I don’t have any active bp ones on hand atm. I also don’t suggest buying them as they are visual only. However, the clearance on the 180 does seem to be enough
I’ve heard the EK blocks have very deep recesses, so will following specs work? RTX 4090 Strix - EK Quantum Vector2 (non active back plate) - 90deg Adapter so cables run under GPU ??
@@alpinestars-wm8rv I check on their website, and the cablemod subreddit and the ek velocity² Tuf/STRIX seems to work with the 180° version.

I have the Suprim and I have zero coil whine. Which was not the case with my previous msi 3090 trio and msi 2080 ti trio
