  • There has been a lot of work carried out at Sweetwaters tented camp in the last year, and is on going. They have rebuilt the Reception, lounge, bar & kitchens, making them larger and more comfortable. The older tents are being upgraded and the new luxury tents have been a big success so 4/5 more are to be built. This video gives an over view of the whole camp with all the new construction work and luxury tents.

I enjoyed your video. I just returned from Kenya and Sweetwater Serena camp. It was a wonderful experience.

Been eye-balling this camp. Anyone can offer any insight about the safaris. Saw that they offer morning, afternoon and NIGHT game drives which is kinda I’m looking for. Getting that wildlife experience to the max. Don’t really care much about accommodations.
    Best time to visit?

The tents with the best view & close to the water hole are the standard tents. Ask for any from 1 - 8.There is 90,000 acre to explore, but most of it is done in the 22,000 acres around sweetwaters, the game seem to like it there. I find March a good time to visit, though good all year around. You should see almost everything on a 5 nt stay, though cheeteah are a bit hit & miss, and Leopards are difficult anywhere. Lions are about 80% seen.
Game drives are $70 & $90 at night. If you have your own vehicle(safari companies)it works out a lot cheaper.

      PHALANX47 thanks!
Any local safari companies you’d recommend?
