It never ceases to amaze me how Reneé put up some weight for Bridget Jones's Diary, then slimed down to do Chicago, then gained weight again for the sequel to Bridget Jones. Yes, they weren't quite in a row, but still, amazing
Why, we said the same thing with Tom Hanks in Castaway and we said the same thing about Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman in Papillon. Part of the craft of acting is looking the part which requires weight changes. Admiring an actor's ability, dedication, and discipline to make those changes is not a horrible thing to say. @@aracellyanaya3866
Thanks for posting this. It's a shame CZJ's only done one other musical and one broadway show since Chicago. She should show off her musical and dance talents more. Her acting is great, but she's better in musicals.
It might just be my perspective, but Renee Zellweger’s performance in Chicago truly stood out-her dancing, acting, and overall portrayal felt exceptional. While Catherine Zeta-Jones delivered a strong performance, especially considering she was pregnant at the time, I personally feel that Renee’s dedication and execution deserved more recognition. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but in my opinion, the Oscar should have gone to Renee.
it is a common misconception that zera jones was pregnant during the filming of the film. rene zellweger was also very good in this movie, but nicole kidman deserved the best actress oscar that year more and won it.
Denise Spurlock .....Renee does look very spare here but still in great shape she has beautiful muscle definition....and obviously super fit doing all that dancing.....
내가 그냥 보다가 느낀건데.... 한국의 이상한 하남자적 세계관이 없어지지 않으면 문화가 이정도로 발전될수없을것같다. 이악물고 부정하는 사람들은 부정하겠지만 내가 뭔 말 하는지 아는 사람들은 알거다... 배우를 배우로 대우하는 그 높은 수준.. 뭐랄까 우리나라도 병신같은 남자 배우만 있는건 절대 아니지만 저런 몸 쓰는 현장에서 자유롭게 표현하는 것만 다들 생각했으면 좋겠다
No, I think for this film and Judy, she was her "thinnest". For Judy it made a lot of sense, but for Chicago, I think it's because of the crazy beauty standards at the time which made women really starve themselves to achieve what sometimes looked ... "Sickly" slim appearance.

Catherine is insanely talented! Being able to sing and dance and act is just amazing. She's incredible.

She was so busty in BJD and looks so flat here. Looks like she gains her weight in her chest first.
