Aluminum bezels aren’t painted they are anodized. Anodizing involves creating a layer of Aluminum Oxide on the surface which can be dyed. This is done because aluminum oxide is very tough. It is also known as sapphire when in a thicker gem state. That’s why the bezel insert is made with aluminum not stainless steel.
Omega SMP 300M has a ceramic dial. That could be a reason for not as crisp of a printing as a Rolex. Another cool feature is that Omega has a different lume color for bezel pip and minute hand. It makes using bezel for timing in the dark even easier.
I like all three of the brands you show on this video. I cant justify buying such expensive watches though. These genuine watches have influenced my interest in watches so I continue to read about them. Thanx.
Loved the video and couldn’t agree more. I own Rolex and Omega and have owned the Black Bay Steel and I think you’re review was spot on. My 3 “top” brands are Rolex, Omega and Grand Seiko.
I owned a Rolex sub before they went ceramic bezels. Those subs, for me looked like true tool watches. Todays Subs or deep seas, though look amazing, look more like jewelry. I think that’s my attraction to Tudor…they still have that purpose driven design that I think Rolex compromised for elegance…Omega to me seems to balance elegance and purpose very well. Great vid Randy!
Totally agree sir, I loved Rolex’s when they had the Professional line which were basically specific for tasks. Now they are just status bling. Love Tudor for embracing the tool watch ethos as far as Omega very nice but the only one I would have is a Planet Ocean Chrono.
I appreciate your content. I also appreciate that you wear your watches. It sometimes feels that other RUclipsrs and watch forum members delicately clean, puff, and place their watch on a pillow before putting back in their Brazilian rosewood watch box. Watches (including luxury watches) are made to be worn.
I'm a cheap watch man. I dig these watches, but I doubt I will ever spend the money to own one. I'd be too worried about scratching it to ever wear it.
It doesnt matter if you're a cheap watch man or an expensive watch man, the point is you like watches and that gets respect from all of us. Plenty of amazing affordable watches that you could be happy with for the rest of your life!
A Planet Ocean to me would stack up better against the Rolex. Dial has more depth than a Diver 300m with the applied indecises and Omega logo, arabic numerals. Legibility is a lot better also with the hand stack of the PO compared to the sword hands on the Diver 300. Also the bracelet is all brushed and tapers similarly to the Rolex. And the clasp diving extension fits better with the rest of the 3 link bracelet of the PO. Long story short, the Planet Ocean has none of the weaknesses of the Diver with as good if not bother fit and finish.
great review! all great watches and no bad choice here! On the bezels - i dive with my watches (UK Cold water) and i got rid of my Seamaster 300 as the scalloped bezel was shyte! - much better suited to sales reps and boardrooms! Much prefer the coin edge on my Pelagos (also have the GMT Opaline like yours!) - - probably why Omega went for coin edge for the Planet Ocean range - much better tool watch for diving!
Hello there, I wanted to share my experience with the Omega Seamaster Chronometer. I've had mine for four years now, and I've noticed that it does scratch quite easily. The back of the watch is particularly scratched up, even though I don't wear it as often as my other watches, such as the Damasko DK32 or the Seiko LX Spring Drive. I appreciate your great RUclips video, and I wanted to share my experience with you. Thank you for your time.
I lovethe vintage vibes of the tudors. I buy the bb 58 and i font think its biring. Woth the red triangle the perfekt rosegold letters it matches so good woth the metal parts in rosegold. And the bezzel is outstanding. 🤘🏻 great video
Nice comparison, so true about the Tudor rotating feeling, very crisp and nice though it doesn't make for the rest a Seamaster or any Rolex diver has to offer. U should definitely get an Invicta 31290. You'll never think about the BB again and you'll get in the Invicta 95% of the BB for a smear fraction of the price 😂😂😂. Greetings from Colombia! 🇨🇴
@cheapwatchman_ official I really enjoyed this 'shootout'. If you're going to evaluate good-better-best, learning about the best gives you the framework for the rest of the comparisons. Beautiful watches, one day .... I can dream ... Keep it coming Mr Randy! 🙃
Great video! In one of your last shots (14:27), I noticed how slab-sided that Rolex is. Guess it's not just Tudor. At least your Sea Dweller (and my Pelagos) break up the real estate with an HE valve.
The Rolex Sub is only 12mm deep, the Tudor GMT is 14.7mm, the Seamaster in between at 13.7mm. The Sea Dweller is 15.5mm and the Deepsea is 17.7mm but as mentioned this to achieve the required depth rating.
Love the Omegas! That mesh bracelet is 🔥! Just one thing… If bezel action is your thing, you should check out a Scurfa Diver 1 in stainless and titanium. I sold my stainless to get a titanium because I really wanted an orange dial one (had a blue in stainless). Both are excellent and the bezel has ZERO backplay. Would love to watch you review one! Do it!
I feel like it depends a lot on the model you pick. Rolex GMTs for example have monochromatic text. The texture on the bezel is right but Rolex didnt do that when they used alluminum bezels same for Omega. Bracelet there is no contest objectively speaking but some things where you complained about the Tudor are hardly comparable since Omega and Rolex models are looking to be modern and Tudor is aiming for vintage style.
A very fair review of the three brands IMO, which I also own. The dial on the Cameron DSSD was always going to be a winner and I'd agree with the ordering for each category. I've had a love hate relationship with Rolex and Tudor but still really appreciate the quality and heritage of Rolex but not the current AD nonsense. I have six Seamasters and there is something about the facets of the case shape, scalloped bezel and skeleton hands, that appeal to me so much. Having said all of that, inspired by the video, I'm wearing a BB58 today and kind of forgot how good it is!
Hello Randy hope you're having an awesome day, Love the content it was great as always. I seeing these expensive watches it gives me a goal to shoot for. Maybe could afford one of these expensive watches if i got rid of some of this junk around the house? Like my kids toys and my wife's expensive outfits i could have that watch in no time. Do you have a name of a good lawyer? I think I'm gonna need one after this? LOL I'm just kidding of course. I appreciate you brother!
You buy the two most boring Tudor models and then say they are boring, the problem there is you my friend - get the pelagos LHD and you'd rate it higher ( not saying it would win but far higher) my pelagos LHD has depth to dial , on the fly adjust and ceramic bezel fully lumed plus a roulette date window and a quirky crown .
the deepsea is the only rolex that has the glide lock system on the outside you should compare that watch with omega ultra deep the omega 300 should be compared with submariner and tudor watches are less expensive in build qualiyt and are in a different league all together what about omega coaxial movement that was never mentioned
He said in the first 2 mins he wasn't going to mention the movements. And what about it? Does it do something in the real world that a well regulated Seiko NH35 doesn't do? No.
I think you can't take the movements out of the comparison. Yes they all tell the time but shouldn't the heart of watches like these be really important?
I have a few questions as I am entertaining the idea of a new watch and know nothing about the technical details. First up, what does a rotational bezel do or purpose? I have one on my current watch, and the instruction ore far too vague
It's just a mechanism to time something, you rotate the bezel to aline with the minute hand and then can track how many minutes have passes on the bezel
Tudor isn't in same League as Omega and Rolex. Tudor is longines rival/League. They're just being hyped by same Rolex hype squad so called expert reviewers. They're really trying to push Tudor out of its league. Btw that's a Milanese bracelet on the Omega 🎉

Tudor is a FAKE Rolex and the aluminum bezel will fade😂😂😂
I may never own one of these brands, but I do enjoy your enthusiastic reviews and I live vicariously through your collection.

with tudor, pelagos does it for me
Great comparison!!! As for my personal preference the Omega wins by a knockout!!! Omega has always caught my eye! Thanks Randy!!! 👍👍👍
Omega is a goat watch 🔥🔥🔥
I agree with you about the scratches on the omega, I own one and scratch really easy.
Thanks for the video
Add Longines to these brands...

OMEGA for me and my family.
OMEGA IS A GOAT WATCH
Great review! I like your shirt. Goonies never die!
I know a guy from where it was shot. One of a kind and most interesting guy on the planet
Great video! In one of your last shots (14:27), I noticed how slab-sided that Rolex is. Guess it's not just Tudor. At least your Sea Dweller (and my Pelagos) break up the real estate with an HE valve.
The regular sub wears very thin, the SD and DS are purposely big models for deep water resistance which Tudor doesn't have
The Rolex Sub is only 12mm deep, the Tudor GMT is 14.7mm, the Seamaster in between at 13.7mm.
The Sea Dweller is 15.5mm and the Deepsea is 17.7mm but as mentioned this to achieve the required depth rating.

All 3 are great but Rolex overpriced in my opinion
Love my Omega! Quality is nearly the same to Rolex and you can get it immediatly.
Not all.. the 321 and snoopies are really hard to get.

Not sure where you get that Rolex bracelet are miles ahead of Tudor especially now with the T-fit clasp, but hey that’s what opinions are for.

Struggling to see how you do a comparison review that suggests the movements of these watches are equal... Tudor GMT date issues?
the deepsea is the only rolex that has the glide lock system on the outside you should compare that watch with omega ultra deep the omega 300 should be compared with submariner and tudor watches are less expensive in build qualiyt and are in a different league all together what about omega coaxial movement that was never mentioned

No.
Tudor BB Chrono will change your mind very quickly. It’s price point is closer to the Omega ps you have and would be a better comparison.
I think you can't take the movements out of the comparison. Yes they all tell the time but shouldn't the heart of watches like these be really important?
Confused - Your eBay store has no items listed.
Yeah. I need to add a bunch of watches. It’s a copy and paste from previous videos. Holidays killed my productivity
Good stuff
New Rolex or upgrade my DAC?

Tudor is great watch for the money plus when it comes to power reserve 70 is superior to omega 55

@@SIZZO76 anything you say !

Watching this video while I wear my Tudor GMT on left hand, and omega SMP300 on right hand in blue. Cheers!
Very subjective. I think that Rolex isn’t just boring - it’s downright hideous.
What brand mesh bracelet is that?
Tudor isn't in same League as Omega and Rolex.

Had to laugh at the content vs the channel name "cheap watch man"
Buy a Christopher Ward COSC....
Omega is top notch and you can buy it anytime you want new products and rolex is a wait list
Omega and rolex have almost same watch without the price.
Omega is a goat 🐐 watch
Cheap Watch Man, no more. these are not cheap!
All three are highly flawed watches in different ways
TUDOR IS VERY BASIC AND IT IS A FAKE ROLEX😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Worst watch review I have ever seen
