This man is a genius, hardly recognized for his impact on folk music and all music. His position in the music world reminds me of someone like Martin Sexton, who is also a powerhouse of lyric and melody, whom has inspired a few greats including a guy whose name I can’t I can’t recall right now, and been asked to open or play along with his mentees. It’s a damn shame that artists like Greg Brown, whom I’ve seen a number of times in Davis CA, where he put on a marvelous performance, never gained the traction they deserve. It’s the way it is I reckon. His album Dream Cafe is a masterpiece. Greg ,if you’re reading this, and I have real doubt that you are or will, thanks for the beer in Davis in like 1994 or around there. You’re an extraordinary talent, my friend.
