After watching this game wire to wire, once I saw vanfleet shot go in at the buzzer from 40 feet out I knew they would find a way to win. Thunder had a decent road trip against good teams, going 3-1.
We watched two REAL teams, not just a community clustered around one player. Two great teams fighting and not giving up until the last moment. That's what I love, man. This is real basketball!
Rockets fan here, it was a shame we were robbed of a national game here. If this was the NFL they would've flexed in this game immediately and for good reason too seeing as how competitive it was all the way through. A game that lived up to it's billing as the #1 vs #2 teams. Thanks for the reaction and the recognition!
It's fun to watch 2 teams with a communal, hard-nosed mindset play each other at a high level. These teams ain't getting the air time because of the lack of household superstar names. Casuals just don't care about the SGA's and the Sengun's. Hopefully they start putting some respect of both teams names going forward.
Big statement win for the Rockets. I know Thunder were missing Chet but they still beat a bunch of other good teams without him, so to us, this win was huge, especially in the players proving to themselves they can hang with the best in the league, and the Thunder are exactly that, one of the best teams in the league.
This was a good game. The thunder would’ve won if J-dub shot better. The rockets had 39 free throws to our 25 ( which is kinda insane) But all in all rockets played hard so they deserved to win
