    Ok...you might still 3 putt on occasion if you use this technique, but you will 3 putt less. What putting issues would you like help correcting?

    The purse joke got me. Putting is my downfall, im usually on in 2 with my first putt coming from 20-25 feet away. Im always either well short or well past and three putt. I can't wait to put this into practice. Thank you for the info, God bless!

    Hey, maybe we are related. I'm known as Mr. Three Putt. You are right in that I rarely miss by much left or right, it's always leaving it short or blowing it past when I think I can make it. I'm going to grab those rings, start practicing daily and see if I can regain my confidence on the green. Thanks!

    Last year I would 3 putt about once every 9 holes and even 3 or 4 times for 18 was not unusual. Then I read somewhere that the number one rule (as stated here) should be to ensure you reach the hole because if you leave it short, you have a 0% chance of making that putt. So what I began to do was imagine something the size of my trash bin lid around the hole, so 2 or 2.5 feet and I would really focus on putting long putts within that circle. This year it's rare for me to 3 putt period and all I really did was change my thinking! I did very little physical work but my attitude change made a huge difference! Great advice there, nice work!

    I thought you where suppose to line your eyes up with the ball like when you use a putting mirror? Now your saying to put my dominant eye down and back. It did help but so does having my eye on the ball line or even the ball under my dominant eye. Just not too far forward.

    • @misteroneputt
      @misteroneputt  Год назад

      Using a mirror doesn’t automatically mean you set up eyes directly over the ball. The purpose of the mirror is to train same setup and eye position every time. Use the eye position you find works best

    There are videos of pros like 6 or 7 putting! Sometimes it just all breaks down. That is golf!

    Does a good quality putter make a difference and a bigger grip make a difference

    • @misteroneputt
      @misteroneputt  2 года назад

      Yes, certainly a quality putter helps...quality certainly doesn't mean expensive, but cheap putters aren't quality..In my experience the larger grips with flat sides like the Katahi grips I use or others help because they get the putter more in my palms than in my fingers and that makes it easier to keep my wrists out of the stroke. Som yes, these things make a difference, but you can certainly develop a good stroke without them...The key thing is consistency,

    • @softhotty
      @softhotty Год назад

      It can...but I subscribe to the idea that a good putter could succeed putting with any putter...has more to do with the player than ANYTHING else...in my opinion. Played golf for 45 years, have a son played PGA Tour Latin America last summer, currently playing Monday qualifiers PGA Tour. (Dillon Board)Trying to make it . If you are competitive and or have a passion for this game and have good health, you can get as good as you want to get. You wanna play on Tour...you better have talent and you better have time cause they're starting young.

    10 ft is not far from hole,it 3m, or 3x 7iron, you have hit a good chip or approach in that close.
    Even 21 ft is close it 6 paces..
    More golfers 3 putt because they putt for birdie or par from these distances, and ram ball 1 to 2 m past hole.
    So put is a stroke, and not for anything.
