I like to think that the glitch in Blue Shift where your weapon repeatedly fires after you die and reload isn't a glitch, it's your character panicking after having just experienced death and been brought back, firing his weapons wildly in a brief moment of madness upon returning to life.
The name Walter is a reference to a Half-life fansite where the author wrote from the perspective of a Black Mesa scientist named Walter, who used the bald with glasses type of npc model as his portrait. Gearbox made a nice nod to the fans by using that name on that model. Oh wait I forgot :Fun fact
10:10 Fun fact: the more houndeyes there currently is in a pack, the more damage their sonic blast does. Since this houndeye was the last one and you were far away from him, he did absolutely no damage. If there were more houndeyes in the room at that time, that attack would have killed you even from this distance as you had very low health.

@@fireidar yeah i remember when i was young i had a "compromised" version of hl1 with all of its expansions and for some readon the zombie mod was included, it was pretty fun
I remember playing "HL Decay" mod in coop. I'm not sure how authentic it is. Some guy just tried his best to bring it to the PC. It uses some darker magic since it works through multiplayer by selecting or starting your own Decay server but you can even play it by internet. I believe there's no way you can beat it just by yourself. There are some places where it has to be two people to go further.

Since you never ended up playing it, Half Life Decay takes place more or less alongside Blue Shift(starting slightly after and ending slightly before). But TL:DR, the final boss of Decays defeat triggers the Reasonance burst that sends Barney all over the place at the end of Blueshift.

If you asked me back in the day if this expansion is worth the money I would probably say no. Its not bad but for how short it is how how it doesnt even have new stuff that OF brought it feels undercooked
It, along with Half-Life PS2 and Decay, are the best looking Goldsource Half-Life games, making Blue Shift the best looking one on PC, at least out of officially released ones. That, plus tight level design with all areas making real world sense and there being no unfinished looking levels with simple square geometry like some of "Surface Tension" in the original and a few maps in Opposing Force, actual character interaction with a unique character, and new areas like the train yard and the old labs, all make it my favourite of the Goldsource games, and I haven't even actually played it, only HL1, 2, and episodes. Episode 1 is my favourite game in the franchise for pretty much the same reasons, btw.
I haven't watched the rest of this series, so I don't know what has been said, but someone is making a mod to make Half-Life Decay a lot better suited for single player, called Half-Life Decay Solo Mission.
Going to assume you'll play through OpFor, then move onto HL2 and it's related episodes. When it's all said and done, please, please play through Black Mesa. And don't forget your purple hat! :P
Personally wouldn't recommend doing Decay through Sven Co-op because the game plays very differently with various changes and enhancements. There is a PC port that acts as a mod for Half-Life which gives a much better experience in my opinion, I've played it both solo and co-op many times. Regardless of whatever you decide, it'll be great fun to play! Loving the playthroughs so far!
I'd rather wait for the Decay Solo Mission mod to come out to play it my guy. There's this mod someone is making, aiming to turn the co op experience into a single player one that plays just like a normal HL expansion
