I know you watched this dubbed but the sub version in my opinion is much better. The screaming and roaring is so good in the Japanese. I would definitely check out the fights again but in Japanese.
30:14 this is Gogeta's iconic attack called "soul punisher" it basically will kill any person with an evil heart, but when he saw that broly survived it he smiled cuz he knew broly is kind at heart.
Still training for only 3 months when your weaker then SSJ 1 and catching up and even slightly surpassing to SSJ Blue in 3 freakin months?! Biggest cap in Super as for that hour "fighting" Broly, it was not a fight it was Broly using a punching bag for an hour not even 1 punch landed from Friezer. I'm a fan of the emperor of the Universe and his nefarious attitude but having him catch up in strength so quickly when he had no one of actual consideration to train with, SMH.

That's how Frieza knew that killing paragus would turn broly. If sayan pride was enough to go ssj then every sayan would. And I never said Goku denied his heritage. He just never showed any pride or much of any feelings towards it at all before broly.
@@blakec8549Goku's entire motivation to continue fighting frieza initially is to avenge Vegeta and the saiyans, it's not why he went SSJ but it was a major part of his character progression in that arc. There's a whole sad scene with him burying Vegeta and a scene where he's internally dialoguing with himself and Vegeta's spirit about how he's a "Saiyan raised on Earth," embracing both parts of himself instead of distancing himself from his saiyan side like he'd done before. Krillin's death triggered SSJ, but he may not have ever been able to tap into that side of him in the first place without coming to terms with his heritage in the first place
I remember watched this in cinema. The crowd is going crazy for vegeta turn to super Saiyan god, and even crazier when Gogeta is back. Plus it Blue Gogeta 🔥🔥🔥
Crazy thing is in the manga Vegeta went ssjgod before he went blue but in the anime they kinda just skipped god and went into blue for all of the main fights
@@JuliusNovak_ That's just the animators being lazy tbh, because god form changes the whole appearance with making them look more skinny and doesn't have the usual transformation hair. So they probably couldn't be assed to animate the god form and just skip to blue.

Also, Tatsuya Nagamine is also the one responsible for the visual upgrade in Wano!
I'm not entirely sure if it's meant as a callback, I think it's just the fact it's his saiyan name and the only other pure saiyan around in their universe is Vegeta, who constantly calls him by his real saiyan name. I think it was just meant to be respect between Saiyans.
I love everything about this movie. Vegeta didn't get done dirty, both him and Goku had great individual fights with Broly. Gogeta is just jaw-dropping. Amazing music too, absolute spectacle all round.
I mean I find that confusing because I think Vegeta really got shafted the hardest in this movie in a way. He was literally getting his ass beat in SSB and Goku just starts matching Broly in his base form. Literally makes Vegeta seem hundreds of times weaker than Goku at the minimum. During the Blue transformation, alot of people thought it was Ultra Instinct but it was just the colors of his transformations colliding. Yellow from Super Saiyan, Red for God form and Blue from Super Saiyan Blue. Those 3 colors become white on the color spectrum
i dont understand, why vegeta was having problem during fusion, i remember them fusing in DBZ buu arc, or am i forgetting something here, since i lost interest in db stuff after dbs
YES YES YES YES YES. I love this movie so much (and super hero, can't wait for that reaction) The entire theater gasped when their clash literally broke reality. It was so hype to see on the big screen.
What I LOVED from what they did with Broly is that they kept my fav part of 90s Broly: his savage fightstyle. Here is even more prevalent and well sustained too. Because he grew up in a wild planet he fought like an animal to survive and u can see that savagery in his fighting. This was the greatest movie of DB ever it had everything i ever wished for and way way more. Music, animation, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I saw this in theaters 3 times and i'll do it again if its ever in theaters around here again PS. Fun fact during the fight of Gogeta vs Broly, he actually drew a bit of ultra instict to dodge some of Broly's attacks during the end part.
Yeah. And what I like about this Broly is that unlike the DBZ counterpart, he has an actual personality and story. DBZ broly was just pretty much the worst deviant art fanfic level character ever created.
One of the reasons I love this DB movie the most is that not only did it make Broly canon BUT also gave us a proper canon backstory of Goku's parents Bardock and Gine (this is the 1st time we saw her in DragonBall and I'm glad we got to see her interactions with both Bardock and baby Goku). I really hope the future upcoming DB sequel show gives us more insight of Goku's parents. I really want Goku to know just how much his parents loved him and how they sacrificed their lives to protect him.
The scene with Goku powering up after talking to Piccolo is almost the most iconic part of this movie to me, He goes from red to almost a legendary green to ultra instinct to blue just had me in severally mixed emotions, It was like he was channeling everything he's ever had for Broly.

The last attack is such a perfect fusion of Vegeta and Goku. The initial blast is the Kamehameha and the second burst is the insane burst of Final Flash. Amazing work by the team knowing the characters and blending their power.
@@Super780- Isn't that just the UI Omen stage? That allows him to use his emotions more which makes him more effective so he wants to master that instead of actual MUI.
30:35 + is my favourite scene from all of Super, Gogeta's power up pose. But I have to say that Kamehameha is my favourite in terms of pure appearance. FEELS heavy, doesn't blast from the palms directly, it actually looks like a blowtorch, takes a while to even take form. Scary stuff. As far as the Husbando Listo goes, I'm sure Bulma's ok with it, I don't know about Chi Chi though. Only time I've ever seen Carlie jealous of something Ange has said was when he told her he saw this in theatres.
"This was in cinema?" Not only was this in the movies, but this was BIG. I live in NYC, and there was a HUGE billboard dedicated to promoting this movie there, front and center.
they'd kinda have to because frieza remembers bardock when he's fighting goku on namek, although i could easily see them forgetting it since bardock's movies aren't canon
A little late, but the part at 30:02 when Broly fires a blast out of his mouth, the reason is because his power has risen to a point too high for him to control too fast, so his body was ejecting as much as possible to try to regulate itself. So he was basically "vomiting" ki out to stabilize his own energy.
From what I have been reading up on but not sure they are actually at the end of super whenever they end it they are going to rewrite the dbz ending to actually make it canon but it's just a grain of salt right now
I love the detail that it took their strongest blast attacks to break the dimension in their weaker forms but in their strongest forms it just took a punch
10/10 I actually really liked this movie It's a freaking awesome movie. I believe that this broly is a far more fantastic and a far better written broly than the previous psychopathic broly. This broly actually had a relatable story and an amazing character design. I will admit, it's not an entirely perfect movie and I admit, the comedy was really funny but at some points in my own humble opinion it was a bit over done. But I will say that this movie is the best dragon ball movie to come out in years, there's a reason why it's the highest grossing dragon ball movie of all time and there's a reason why so many people, not only in Japan but around the world... completely enjoy this movie. Im glad I got the chance to watch this, I'm glad we got to see broly in action again after so many years and I'm extremely glad that broly is finally canon in the main story of dragonball. I just hope they use him more for dbs arcs and not sideline him like they did with Frieza.

When we watched this in the theater, every one chanted the final Kamehameha. It was insane hearing around 100 people all screaming it at once. Never had a more fun theatre experience
The animation level is over 9000. Recently Dragon Ball Super: Broly / Demon Slayer / Attack on Titan / Bleach TYBW really pushed their animation to the next level. 1. Loved the classic animation with the modern enhanced version. It's really lovely to see Goku's hair gets animated like it was in DBZ. 2. The Transformation scenes looked powerful 3. The backstory was well made. I just love to see Goku's brother getting a redemption arc and brothers fighting together. I hope Vegeta's brother comes back in the series. 4. Like Son like father - Fusion scene. Gogeta is back 5. Freeza vs Broly - Freeza getting beat up was one of the best moments And for next, Do watch the Classic Dragon Ball series (where Goku starts his adventure as a kid with Bulma) You will definitely enjoy the adventure.
Idk if I would put Attack on Titan in the “recently” category. I can’t name a single sequence from season 4 that I would put up with the best of DBS: Broly or Entertainment District from Demon Slayer

If you're doing all things Dragon Ball, I can't wait to see you two get onto DBZ Abridged. The first season Saiyan Saga is a bit lacking, but afterwards they get into their groove and it's nothing but home runs.

Doubt, CGI takes longer to make according to Chikashi Kubota and Super Hero was being made during the pandemic. We will probably see a mix of cgi and 2d just like Demon Slayer.

There’s an interesting theory about Gogeta being his own person. Not saying like he isn’t but like he’s sentient. So he’s not like vegito where it’s Goku and vegeta in there. Gogeta is his own person like yes it’s Goku and vegeta, but not one of them dominates the fusion like vegito that’s why he says “using the potarra it was vegito wasn’t it?” So gogeta is aware he’s a fusion and always stares at the sunset. Like he does in the movie fusion reborn, db heroes and now. He does it because he knows that it could be his last time alive. Mainly because Goku and vegeta are getting stronger and may not use him anymore. Especially with how they’re handling things in the manga. You can see their strength growing. So gogeta knows they might not use him again and he enjoys every last moment and enjoys his time staring at the sunset. Just a theory tho, but it makes you wonder if it’s true it makes Gogeta fusion much more interesting and cool.
at the same time dbs broly dropped, toei animation changed the art for one piece just like the movie, and stayed with it. So I fully expect them to continue with it, it was well received in one piece anime too.
This is my favorite dragon ball series movie. The animation is amazing, but what makes it my favorite is Broly. Broly has been one of my favorite dragon ball characters since I've seen his old movies, so when the trailer for this movie came out I was so hype, I even have the dvd.
Couple of things: - As soon as Gogeta went Blue, Broly didn't land a single hit. - Broly adapted again at the end of the fight trying to surpass Gogeta but the gap was too wide. It is understandable that, if the fight lasted longer, Broly would eventually reach his level unless Gogeta went UI. - Gogeta was going to kill Broly. In Gogeta's mind he sees an uncontrollable monster that will keep fighting nonstop. He was going to eliminate him. Nice reaction.
Little spoilers* In the manga currently Goku has a moment where he finally remembers his Parents, you lean his father Bardock once saved and protected an old namekian and Young boy of an extinct race who becomes the next rival to Goku and Vegeta. Also Broly is now part of the team and training with Goku and Vegeta with Whis.
The fusion was a call back to dbz fusion reborn back in the 90’s. The rainbow ball he threw at broly destroys all evil cause he threw it at janemba. so when gogeta smiled when broly wasn’t killed, he knew he was kind hearted
When you were saying like ‘he tried to force ultra instinct out’ he wasn’t trying for ultra instinct at that moment cuz for ultra instinct you have to be calm and nothing should in your mind at all , and those who are saying why it looks like he tried so hard? That’s because of the energy that they have used cuz sometimes they can easily go super Saipan blue but sometimes it’s become hard because of the forms that they use before blue
Vegeta actually had SSJG since the Goku black Arc for some reason they didn’t animate that but he’s had SSJG for a while. Think the coolest thing is he unlocked it by himself and didn’t use the ritual
if you didn't notice they bring up tarble vegeta's brother which is also so has the plant names if you combine their names you get "vegetarble" and also he did try to go ui and you can see it its just that he has to train more to actually go ui its like how he got super saiyan

The original Broly was from the non canon films. This new version is meant to fit into the canon with a more sympathetic story. Same with Gogeta.

One of the reasons I love this DB movie the most is that not only did it make Broly canon BUT also gave us a proper canon backstory of Goku's parents Bardock and Gine (this is the 1st time we saw her in DragonBall and I'm glad we got to see her interactions with both Bardock and baby Goku). I really hope the future upcoming DB sequel show gives us more insight of Goku's parents. I really want Goku to know just how much his parents loved him and how they sacrificed their lives to protect him.
I'm liking the green lighting for the studio, it also just goes well with Broly's movie👍
The scene with Goku powering up after talking to Piccolo is almost the most iconic part of this movie to me, He goes from red to almost a legendary green to ultra instinct to blue just had me in severally mixed emotions, It was like he was channeling everything he's ever had for Broly.
Frieza really thought it was a good idea to spark another Super Saiyan.

The last attack is such a perfect fusion of Vegeta and Goku. The initial blast is the Kamehameha and the second burst is the insane burst of Final Flash.

In the manga Goku finds a new ultra instinct form that can use emotions, maybe it was hinting that?
@@Super780- Isn't that just the UI Omen stage? That allows him to use his emotions more which makes him more effective so he wants to master that instead of actual MUI.

30:35 + is my favourite scene from all of Super, Gogeta's power up pose. But I have to say that Kamehameha is my favourite in terms of pure appearance. FEELS heavy, doesn't blast from the palms directly, it actually looks like a blowtorch, takes a while to even take form. Scary stuff.
As far as the Husbando Listo goes, I'm sure Bulma's ok with it, I don't know about Chi Chi though. Only time I've ever seen Carlie jealous of something Ange has said was when he told her he saw this in theatres.

A little late, but the part at 30:02 when Broly fires a blast out of his mouth, the reason is because his power has risen to a point too high for him to control too fast, so his body was ejecting as much as possible to try to regulate itself. So he was basically "vomiting" ki out to stabilize his own energy.
Imo easily the best dragon ball movie with super hero a close second

I actually really liked this movie
It's a freaking awesome movie. I believe that this broly is a far more fantastic and a far better written broly than the previous psychopathic broly. This broly actually had a relatable story and an amazing character design. I will admit, it's not an entirely perfect movie and I admit, the comedy was really funny but at some points in my own humble opinion it was a bit over done. But I will say that this movie is the best dragon ball movie to come out in years, there's a reason why it's the highest grossing dragon ball movie of all time and there's a reason why so many people, not only in Japan but around the world... completely enjoy this movie. Im glad I got the chance to watch this, I'm glad we got to see broly in action again after so many years and I'm extremely glad that broly is finally canon in the main story of dragonball. I just hope they use him more for dbs arcs and not sideline him like they did with Frieza.

Recently Dragon Ball Super: Broly / Demon Slayer / Attack on Titan / Bleach TYBW really pushed their animation to the next level.
1. Loved the classic animation with the modern enhanced version. It's really lovely to see Goku's hair gets animated like it was in DBZ.
2. The Transformation scenes looked powerful
3. The backstory was well made. I just love to see Goku's brother getting a redemption arc and brothers fighting together. I hope Vegeta's brother comes back in the series.
4. Like Son like father - Fusion scene. Gogeta is back
5. Freeza vs Broly - Freeza getting beat up was one of the best moments
And for next, Do watch the Classic Dragon Ball series (where Goku starts his adventure as a kid with Bulma)
You will definitely enjoy the adventure.

Super Broly will probably be forever the peak of DB for me... sounds a lot like future movies will be CGI since Super Hero did well.
Doubt, CGI takes longer to make according to Chikashi Kubota and Super Hero was being made during the pandemic. We will probably see a mix of cgi and 2d just like Demon Slayer.

Goku wasn’t trying to tap into ultra instinct. It was just the animation team teasing at it like a visual effect.
Abridged is definitely worth checking out, it’s a bit slow for the first few episodes but becomes an absolute masterpiece

In the ending when Goku said to Broly “call me Kakarot” that was a callback to the og Broly movies where the only thing that Broly screamed was KAKAROT
There’s an interesting theory about Gogeta being his own person. Not saying like he isn’t but like he’s sentient. So he’s not like vegito where it’s Goku and vegeta in there. Gogeta is his own person like yes it’s Goku and vegeta, but not one of them dominates the fusion like vegito that’s why he says “using the potarra it was vegito wasn’t it?” So gogeta is aware he’s a fusion and always stares at the sunset. Like he does in the movie fusion reborn, db heroes and now. He does it because he knows that it could be his last time alive. Mainly because Goku and vegeta are getting stronger and may not use him anymore. Especially with how they’re handling things in the manga. You can see their strength growing. So gogeta knows they might not use him again and he enjoys every last moment and enjoys his time staring at the sunset. Just a theory tho, but it makes you wonder if it’s true it makes Gogeta fusion much more interesting and cool.
I think it's just a fusion of Goku and Vegeta's personalities that resulted in a new person"Gogeta"

at the same time dbs broly dropped, toei animation changed the art for one piece just like the movie, and stayed with it. So I fully expect them to continue with it, it was well received in one piece anime too.

This is my favorite dragon ball series movie. The animation is amazing, but what makes it my favorite is Broly. Broly has been one of my favorite dragon ball characters since I've seen his old movies, so when the trailer for this movie came out I was so hype, I even have the dvd.
Dragon ball is massive in Oz and this broly movie broke records when it came out best animation I have ever seen.

the fact that gogeta ssjssb got recoil from the bigbang kamehameha really shows its raw power...
Goku telling Broly to call him his Sayian name is definitely a character development for him, finally embracing his sayian heritage to the fullest.
Couple of things:
- As soon as Gogeta went Blue, Broly didn't land a single hit.
- Broly adapted again at the end of the fight trying to surpass Gogeta but the gap was too wide. It is understandable that, if the fight lasted longer, Broly would eventually reach his level unless Gogeta went UI.
- Gogeta was going to kill Broly. In Gogeta's mind he sees an uncontrollable monster that will keep fighting nonstop. He was going to eliminate him.

Little spoilers* In the manga currently Goku has a moment where he finally remembers his Parents, you lean his father Bardock once saved and protected an old namekian and Young boy of an extinct race who becomes the next rival to Goku and Vegeta. Also Broly is now part of the team and training with Goku and Vegeta with Whis.
The fusion was a call back to dbz fusion reborn back in the 90’s. The rainbow ball he threw at broly destroys all evil cause he threw it at janemba. so when gogeta smiled when broly wasn’t killed, he knew he was kind hearted

That’s because of the energy that they have used cuz sometimes they can easily go super Saipan blue but sometimes it’s become hard because of the forms that they use before blue

Vegeta actually had SSJG since the Goku black Arc for some reason they didn’t animate that but he’s had SSJG for a while. Think the coolest thing is he unlocked it by himself and didn’t use the ritual
if you didn't notice they bring up tarble vegeta's brother which is also so has the plant names if you combine their names you get "vegetarble" and also he did try to go ui and you can see it its just that he has to train more to actually go ui its like how he got super saiyan
