Just found out this song on amazon. This is the only one that stood out among a playlist of over 50 songs. I agree there aren't enough of those around. Just upbeat, light and positive. Reminds me of the 80s. Reminds me a little bit of another one 'pop goes my heart'. Well done Tegan and Sara!
it's like when she ask Sara to co-write the song, Tegan just take whatever it is but never really thought of the meaning and be like "alright, whatev, sounds good" and only after releasing the album and in this video she finds out the whole story of the bridge. lol whatev man, fucking love this song anyway.
It's weird that they used to write metaphorically, but now that they've started writing very literal, on-the-surface stuff, they've done videos explaining the songs... I'd rather hear Sara explain, "In the dark, I'm just no good at giving relief. In the dark, it won't be easy to find relief. And I'm not proud, that nothing will seem easy about me. But I promise this, I won't go my whole life, telling you I don't need." I mean... that either means what it sounds like or is deep in some way haha
I love it! :) Ummm well, I really like this one, the bridge is really cool and I also love Goodbye Goodbye... But if I had to choose one....ummm I guess Shock To Your System, from the very beginning that song had an impact on me, I don't know why, the lyrics are...I don't know how to explain it....what's yours?
Yeah, that bit is great! But I kinda like when in the live version she pronounces the "are" like "ah" (what you ah) did I make any sense? It's weird :P I think STYS is the best one, but the whole album is great, with a couple of exceptions I really love it...and yes! Sara is a top notch, in every single way.
I love this song! The moment I heard it, I immediately thought of my beautiful girlfriend in her bikini at the beach rockin' her short hair & her beautiful sun-kissed skin! Just perfection!
This album is a masterpiece
Tegan and Sara represent females in the music industry beautifully. Wish there were more musicians around like these two.

Tegan's pondering face 1:27-1:47. One can only imagine how well orchestrated her thought processes must be.

I love the fact that Sara sings the bridge on this song, I just love it!
Yeah, she does. Tegan said it in an interview. You can watch the live performances of the song and Sara has "the main role" in the bridge :)
