Sorry but leg locks/heel hooks are for the birds. Eddie always talks about the Jiu Jitsu goal being to be able to protect yourself, well try to leg lock someone who is allowed to kick you in the teeth with the other leg. It's annoying and nothing worse then rolling with someone whos entire intention is to roll head over heels reaping your leg for 3 minutes with no success.

Trying to kick someone in the head instead of defending is an *excellent* way to do no damage and get your knee detonated.

+nick h No, you won't, but it's cute that you think that works. Heelhooks work in MMA, even in promotions that allow soccer kicks. And that's a fight between people who are professionals. Against some random schlub,, you'd destroy their knee before they even knew what was happening, but you'd never go for a heel hook in the first place when you could just stay on top or hit them with the earth.
