1. Because it costs less.... 2. Because in your opinion it looks better...3. Because you have a "special connection" with g35s :p was hoping for mechanical reasons..such as one might hadle better..but have less power? or one is more reliable then another? maybe the interior holds up better in one?
I got an 08 Sedan with HR motor and AWD fully loaded. Paid 14K cash. The DE and HR are night and day difference. I will admit the G35 coupe looks stylish and timeless.
I totally feel you on the "home" feeling, that's how I feel about my old 330ci, best car I've ever owned so far and I've had an Si, a 6 series, FRS. Looking to get a G35 in the summer though bc they are so beautiful and sound great, i'm pretty sure it will become my new favorite.
The bumpers and headlights make the G35 look more masculine. They really don't look much different from a distance but the rounder bumpers on the G35 I think give it a meaner look.
i got the 35 because it wasnt as expensive as the 37 and was only about 30 or so horsepower in difference. never regretted it and actually love it more than the 37 in that the tail lights are better and it just has this street look while the 37 is alot more luxury. VQ❤
When you mentioned the connection between you and the car, thar hits the spot. When I test drove my G35, I felt that connection. The engine and transmission combination is flawless. Shifting is just smooth and, yes, the styling is sexier.
I recently got a G37s 6mt due to the updated look and features. I don't care for the weight it carries but when you get on the throttle, 330 hp 3.7 VQ motor makes you forget about the weight. Stock exhaust rumbles between shifts and piston rings don't fry as easy.
I have so much fun with my 2006 G35. Yes.. the engine goes thru oil! I even got mine replaced back in the day when it was under warranty. Replacement soon after developed same issue. I'm at 180,000 miles and still running strong! .. Though, I have to add 1 quart of oil every 500 miles!! I agree, the car is reliable.
Can understand where you're coming from, I've got a 2004 G35 coupe and a '08 G37 coupe and I find myself driving my G35 alot more. In my opinion they're both great vehicles and so much fun to drive. Enjoyed your video!
i love everything about the 37 except the rear end. the 35s rear end looks amazing and the only thing i prefer but its really hard to choose either way
This helped me alot man thanks I'm in the market for a Nissan Altima coupe or Infinity coupe models I do like the g35 also insurance would be cheaper also right ?
@sten rickett you say you like the g35 better than the g37 because of looks? are you talking about exterior? i have never seen a G series look different unless it was a coupe or sedan. I've got the g37 2010
I always loved g35 coupes I got a amazing deal on mines which is an 04 as well. Defiantly understand you on the special connection because that's how I feel. Great car.
05' G35 manual owner and my Vin tag says Motor: (DE) My gauges have "Rev" on them but it never flashes at redline, etc. I'm pretty sure I have a DE motor...
I have 04 g35 too. I agree your opinion. But the new 2017 Q60 red sport I'm in love that car so much!!! I will buy that car in next year 2018. I can't wait.
I own a g37 so my opinion would obv be bias. however in terms of looks they both appeal to different markets. g35 is built a lil more sporty but the g37 is for power/luxury. I own a g37xs love it's all wheel drive system. and space. oh yeah and the stock 330hp. both cars are great
My 2006 G35 SC will outperform ANY G37. The G37 does have a few more useless gadgets, & may be a bit more comfortable(?). I'll take mine every day instead, thanks.
Obviously the G37 is better, it should be. It should be an improvement from the G35. The spec. sheets don't lie.... However, I think what people fail to realize is that the G35 essentially resurrected the Infiniti brand. (both the sedan and the coupe) The G35's chief engineer, Kazutoshi Mizuno, who's actually a race car driver and manager has stated that he intended to make the G35 Sport Coupe as performance-oriented as possible. "Because of my involvement in racing, I knew exactly how I wanted the G35 Sport Coupe to perform. Although I wanted it to possess a different character than the Z, I didn't want it to be inferior. Therefore, I set out to create a Grand Touring version of the sports car. Where the 350Z is more in line with sprint racing, the G35 Sport Coupe has the heart of an endurance racer," he explained. (taken from Road & Track) Hell I encourage everyone to search reviews about the G35 Coupe when it was realised. The G35 Coupe changed everything, it's a piece of history. I got my 04' black coupe in 6 speed with the brembos back in 2016 and plan on keeping it a long time, I have a feeling that the G35 will become a classic
i think both cars are beautiful and u can't go wrong with both as they appeal to a broad spec of people. imo I'd want all black g37xs with gold 5 pt vossen rims, id choose over an acura tl with look good on em too. but i just found out about the q50-thinking if i should wait for the price drop on a used i one. overall the g infinitis been attracting me but that 50 looks sick too.
Agree. I had an 06 which i wrecked:( and 07 g35 which i sold. and now i got a 2012 g37s and its sooo much better in everything Sounds better and feels better.
Maxb42 no, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, I have a g37 and wow, powerful as hell, I have a 2013 Model, I love it! Way better than the 35 bro!

I know what you mean about having a connection to the G35's. I currently have an XKR but something about the 03 G35 I had in high school..idk I've been thinking about getting another one cause I really miss it.
wtff thats an amazing steal, literally some guy wants to sell me his 2005 g35 (manual) for $12,000... everytime i look for an infiniti, i always get raped on the price
we have the same story. I owned a 2003 automatic. Totalled it 1 year before it was paid off. Had a choice between the g37 and another g35, and chose the g35 6mt 2007 model over the g37. The g37 looks like a womans luxury car, or a more mature persons car which Imdont car for. The ONLY g37 that I personally like is the IPL model, but thats way overpriced. Your right about the g37 engine though. It is a fine piece of engineering. Wish it could be swapped into a g35.
Hey I’m about to look at a 06 G35 6mt in Ivory. It has 72k miles One owner car and is clean inside and out. I talked the seller down to $9,250. Is that a good deal. I’m going to try and talk him down more to $8,500
Great video man im a G owner 03 G35 Coupe gladly she doesn't burn oil like later models. I completely know what you mean about the connection with the car.
id get the g35 over the g37 based on the looks but i want the 3.7. my maxima with the 3.5 had the death rattle so im a little anxious to get another vq35
Wow, this dude spoke the truth. I agree on every point / reason he made his decision. And I too prefer the G35 Coupe over the G37 Coupe in looks - but do prefer the 3.7L engine over the 3.5L. 😎👍
respect your opinion as an owner of 2011 you cant compare its just far superior in quality amd motor especially especially since i put headers hks hi power exhaust and a vortech supercharger. ever since installing more upgrades the car just exceeds my expectations trad3 in your car brother gas is an issue as far as g37 goes but they are far more reliable and better looking and overall give you the best i got mine at 15800 out the door only 60,000 miles im about too hit just an awesome car with also great ratings and fair resale value depending on how you handle it and treated it
TMHGANG Nope, they still burn some but not nearly as much. Or just get the G37 of 09 or newere not the 08 wich is still basiclyba g35. After 09 the G37 got a 7speed auto with aggressive gears and ive raced g35s and it makes them look like they're standing still . G37 is the much superior car
I agree wIth you 100% !! I own a 2005 6m sport package with of course the First rev up engine, black on black. This car's look is timeless, and I've owned Many cars including BMWs and one brand new corvette. This is by far the most enjoyable Car I have ever owned looks and performance. I brought it to infiniti to tweek up the paint Last year. As they were pulling up the car, the owner of the dealership as well as the body manager expressed that the coupe of those years 03-07 were the most beautiful vehicles, infiniti ever produced, In the sport categorie. I have 130 miles on it and it runs like a top. Mind you I do take care of It. And I will keep it for years to come. Lets admit when it first introduced, I couldn't keep my eyes off Of it. Especially when I saw it on the road. Even my son in law who is in his early 20s says, that is One sexy car. Like I said timeless.
Hey dude I'm looking at a g35 rn it's 9k has 120k miles but it's cleeaan. It's one owner and it's being sold by a reputable dealer.. u think that price is steep? Lol
hey man. my last car was an 04 g35 and after it was wrecked in august 2015 i got an 07 g35. sounds familiar right... haha. my nonrevup burned about the same amount of oil as my revup, about 1qt per 1k mi. try using either castrol 0w40 or rotella t6 5w40. its helped me a bit on both of my Gs
I understand what you mean by a connection with that model car. I owned Acura TL' up until the 07 model as you know the redesign came in 09 it's more luxury than sporty and Acura lost me. So I'm looking for a replacement and considering the G37 specifically for the 3.7 liter I'm thinking the sport version which Acura doesn't offer at all
I had an 06 G35 coupe and I totaled it like last month, I’m looking at 37’s but idkkkkkkkkk the body is holding me back, should I do it, someone convince me
Hi only when u get your own whip, u prolly 12 and when u grow up u gonna drive a Honda Accord like the bitch boi u are, btw I got a 350z now 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I bought my 04 G35 with 95k miles on it for $10k and I freaking love the car I just had to replace the bad camshaft sensors (which the dealer did for free)
TheZane03 ... thanks man. I'm just using the iPhone7 plus on the video setting: 1080P 60fps. I was going to buy a camera until I saw the update they did to the iPhone 7. So I just bought the new phone instead of a camera lol
i have a g35. i like how it looks much more than its bloby superior. However the VHR is such an upgrade i think its worth not liking the appearance as much
Yep, REVUP oil consumption confirmed; I disagree about the bold on's... I have a MREV2 with a spacer, Stillen intake, aluminum driveshaft and a tune, let me tell you the car is a completely different machine. Sway bars, springs and shocks helped too though. But honestly forgetting bolt on's I would recommend an aluminum driveshaft and tune combo as the best noticeable change in drivability and power.
I love my g 35 I was the same way. The look of the 37 three me off. My neighbor has a 37 and I have a 35 and the loo difference is so noticeable. The 37 looks too wide as well in my opinion.
I have an 04, went a long time without what most would consider something nice to drive, Im new to imports, Im in Autobody, I know imports are nice, have for a long time. what does mine mean to me? being successful again, having a nice car, I know she has some quirks but to me just goes with anything, I got interested in the look and after reading I learned its a Z car cousin, I thought how can that not be a fun car? I look at this car and think how did whoever designed her not love what they were going to make? She has her own look and to me people will be restoring these down the road. How can you not? I love mine and will have her for a long time.
chevelle1967 ... good personal story bro! I like how it relates to you personally. That's awesome. I agree, I think this car will be around for a long time. Unless I total mine (knock on wood) I will have mine forever. Got big plans for when the motor blows eventually also lol
For reason #1, you could've went to an auction, or auctions and found a better deal with a G35 already tuned up. Or buy one for $1,700 and all it'll need is a bumper w/a new spark plug.
I like the cars I've got 34000ks on mine but mine is called a 350GT Skyline but it just what it says on my car on the back plus 350 engines in alot of there cars but I might get me a nissan fuga 450GT v8 it be pretty cool i like your opinions
i bought my g37 because i love the head lights, motor and the interior is pretty alright. The tail lights are kinda ugg and i wish they had a better design. the sound is amazing and lotta parts for the 370z can just bolt right up. only thing i dont like tooo much about it, its heavy af. nearly 2 tons for my x coupe.
Catch can Fixes the oil consumption issue. It's being burned up in cylinder 6. Take off your spark plugs and check it out. They'll be oil on the spark plug housing. I was ready to change the head gasket. If you're reading this don't freak out. That oil in the engine spark plug housing is normal (for this car amyways) look up g35 oil catch can on the tube. You'll see. Peace
What about maintenance and issues in general on 08 g35x AT? I've seen a lot about these cars having issues with power windows, power locks, power moonroof, tearing seat, transmission, etc.. I like the look of the G35 better just like you and also don't want to pay the price of the g37. I want to get a nice stable g35x because of modification potential and it seems like a fun car to own but don't want to deal with a bunch of expensive and constant maintenance either.
I have an 05 G35 and an 09 G37 and I find myself driving my G35 more often then the G37... I love the minimalistic, simplicity of the G35s interior over the more luxurious G37. Yes the G37 has more power but my G35 is just fast enough to be fun to drive to work everyday and it's always been reliable and never given me any problems.. I usually drive my G37 on weekends when I wanna feel a little more luxurious cuz it feels like I'm driving a Lexus 😎
Carlos De Leon ... the VQ35HR was only in the Sedan G35 2007+. They never put the HR in the coupe. The coupe is all on the DE platform but the manual 05-07 coupe has the VQ35DE Revup engine
the g37 is a land boat compared to the 35..i own a 03 g35 its modded but its only my every other Saturday car not driven daily at all she just sits in the garage with 112 on the odometer. but i have the funds if i wanted a 2018/19 nissan 370z or q60 but man something bout the G that i love bro.
Ain't nothing but a G thang. VQ family... 🙏🏼🙏🏼

This. The dude obviously has a personal bias. Mostly because it’s cheaper lol

My 35 hr speaks for itself
G35 has nicer tail lights IMO, G37 has nicer front and interior. Tough pick :/
Matthew Major Weenus The G 37 interior definitely has a nicer feel to it, but the g35 felt more like a cockpit
Matthew Major Weenus hows that a tough pick lol.. interior is important
You can just add custom tail lights to the G37. Lol
Not to mention the g37 makes more power
Damn, fat agree
G35 all day! The G37 is more luxurious but the G35 is more street and aggressive!
Huh? They are both aggressive nice cars.
The g35 front doesnt look as aggressive as the back
Lol u must of nvr drove a g37 it's g37 over g35 all day!! looks better! drives better ! The g35 nice but once I get into a g37 u won't want a g35 .
@@saved1777 I respect that opinion we love it cars... Lol! I hope you drive the wheels off that G37 cause I love to drive my G35!
@@j.anderson4254 yeah my boi I love both cars !😀🏎💨infinity gang!!!
i chose the g over the z for the rear seats plus i loved the style of it and got it at a good price
Arnold Andrew ...the rear seats is a huge plus! That's why I stayed away from the Z as well. Thanks for the input!
Arnold Andrew yea exactly why I got my g35 over a 350z aswell it'd be annoying not being able to fit more than just someone in the front seat
I got an 08 Sedan with HR motor and AWD fully loaded. Paid 14K cash. The DE and HR are night and day difference.
I will admit the G35 coupe looks stylish and timeless.
same i got the g cuz i couldn’t take more than 1 people in my car and that sucks
I just got one for 3500 super clean love it 120k miles
I chose my G35 Sedan over Coupes and even G37 Sedans due to the fact that I love the first generation Sedans and the design is timeless on these cars.

great video. I've had my G35 coupe for a little over a year and a half and I'm still happy with it.

So glad you got a manual, very informative video for people in the market, nice!
Should I Get It ... thanks for the love! I'll check out the G video on your page as well 👍🏽
As a q60/g37 owner I still love these cars, so much to offer as far as looks and performance for the price.
I agree with #3. I LOVE my '05 G35. Who would have thought a 12 year old car would still turn heads :)
Chris Busch ... yup. 12 years late still one of the best looking cars over 10 yrs old just stock.
I just love the sound. That purr and warble when the car takes off
I recently got a G37s 6mt due to the updated look and features. I don't care for the weight it carries but when you get on the throttle, 330 hp 3.7 VQ motor makes you forget about the weight. Stock exhaust rumbles between shifts and piston rings don't fry as easy.

You said it's a 2007 but why are those the 2006 headlights and front end am I missing something?!
I chose a 35 cause i didn't quite have the budget for a low mileage 37. Never looked back

I liked the standard options & it was tough to find a stock Z with Bose/leather.
Kenny Scovell ... great point man. The Z has a lot of options while the G is mostly standard for "upgrade" type items. 👍🏽
I told my son's that I loved my G35 more than them. They'll understand in about 10 yrs or so.
Happy new year to you and your family brotha!
Matty 100%X35 ... thanks man you bro! Thanks for sticking with the channel
Have you done the plenum yet?
Matty 100%X35 ... not yet. In a few months I will. Bout to move across country so saving up for the move
Steven Rickett Nice! Cali?
Matty 100%X35 ... I'm actually leaving Cali and moving back east lol. Quit my job and starting over back east. Fun times ahead though!
id get the g35 over the g37 based on the looks but i want the 3.7. my maxima with the 3.5 had the death rattle so im a little anxious to get another vq35
Wow, this dude spoke the truth. I agree on every point / reason he made his decision. And I too prefer the G35 Coupe over the G37 Coupe in looks - but do prefer the 3.7L engine over the 3.5L. 😎👍
respect your opinion as an owner of 2011 you cant compare its just far superior in quality amd motor especially especially since i put headers hks hi power exhaust and a vortech supercharger. ever since installing more upgrades the car just exceeds my expectations trad3 in your car brother gas is an issue as far as g37 goes but they are far more reliable and better looking and overall give you the best i got mine at 15800 out the door only 60,000 miles im about too hit just an awesome car with also great ratings and fair resale value depending on how you handle it and treated it
Special connection indeed. Sounds like Sam and Bumblebee
I know what your talkin about i just purchased a 2005 altima se-r cause they are special videos coming in the summer of my q50s and altima se-r
So the oil problem isn't on automatic transmissions ?
TMHGANG Nope, they still burn some but not nearly as much. Or just get the G37 of 09 or newere not the 08 wich is still basiclyba g35. After 09 the G37 got a 7speed auto with aggressive gears and ive raced g35s and it makes them look like they're standing still . G37 is the much superior car
I agree wIth you 100% !! I own a 2005 6m sport package with of course the
First rev up engine, black on black. This car's look is timeless, and I've owned
Many cars including BMWs and one brand new corvette. This is by far the most enjoyable
Car I have ever owned looks and performance. I brought it to infiniti to tweek up the paint
Last year. As they were pulling up the car, the owner of the dealership as well as the body manager expressed that the coupe of those years 03-07 were the most beautiful vehicles, infiniti ever
produced, In the sport categorie. I have 130 miles on it and it runs like a top. Mind you I do take care of
It. And I will keep it for years to come. Lets admit when it first introduced, I couldn't keep my eyes off
Of it. Especially when I saw it on the road. Even my son in law who is in his early 20s says, that is
One sexy car. Like I said timeless.
Does the automatic 2007 g35 have the revup issue
Oddly I heard the rev up engine was a win loss form the normal one because the externals are stronger but than you have the oil problem
Hey dude I'm looking at a g35 rn it's 9k has 120k miles but it's cleeaan. It's one owner and it's being sold by a reputable dealer.. u think that price is steep? Lol
Do you still have it
What is that intro song?
Just bought a 350GT. Love it
I wonder why they stopped using brembos?
Same!! I feel my connection real good with my Ford Taurus 02'
Miguel Soto lol
Miguel Soto ha I hear they're super reliable :/
hey man. my last car was an 04 g35 and after it was wrecked in august 2015 i got an 07 g35. sounds familiar right... haha. my nonrevup burned about the same amount of oil as my revup, about 1qt per 1k mi. try using either castrol 0w40 or rotella t6 5w40. its helped me a bit on both of my Gs
nikolaipv .. haha dude very similar story! Thanks for the info bout the oil. I'm doin research to find the best combo for the car.
They had the performance package on the automatics too
YOU sir hit the nail dead on the Head..Now in MY perfect world I would have The G37 but with the Tail of a G35...Ohhhh Yeahhh
Yeah love the interior of the 37 but the tail lights a back end just is to round for me. The 35 back end looks way better.
I understand what you mean by a connection with that model car. I owned Acura TL' up until the 07 model as you know the redesign came in 09 it's more luxury than sporty and Acura lost me. So I'm looking for a replacement and considering the G37 specifically for the 3.7 liter I'm thinking the sport version which Acura doesn't offer at all
I had an 06 G35 coupe and I totaled it like last month, I’m looking at 37’s but idkkkkkkkkk the body is holding me back, should I do it, someone convince me
Shut up
Hi only when u get your own whip, u prolly 12 and when u grow up u gonna drive a Honda Accord like the bitch boi u are, btw I got a 350z now 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
I bought my 04 G35 with 95k miles on it for $10k and I freaking love the car I just had to replace the bad camshaft sensors (which the dealer did for free)
Ricky ...dude! They replaced it for free!?! That's freaking awesome. Sensors are pretty cheap but still, free replacement is great.
im Jonny where?
Jonny SRT I just bought a G35 2006 with 133k miles for 4400
bad deal got a 06 G35 for $5,900 72k miles.
So the automatic transmission do not burn oil like the manual transmission ?
Ramon Ali ... correct. Most automatics don't burn as much oil
Steven Rickett thanks man I'm going to buy a automatic so just wanted to know
What camera are you using? video looks nice and audio is good
TheZane03 ... thanks man. I'm just using the iPhone7 plus on the video setting: 1080P 60fps. I was going to buy a camera until I saw the update they did to the iPhone 7. So I just bought the new phone instead of a camera lol
Steven Rickett good quality thought it was a dslr
i have a g35. i like how it looks much more than its bloby superior.
The 37 looks too wide as well in my opinion.
love my g37
Mark Charter ... I love the G37 too! Just love the G35 more lol
Got big plans for when the motor blows eventually also lol
seems most car people that own a G say they love them.
Des M ... they called the G the skyline in Japan. People de-badge them and put it on all the time.
i bought my g37 because i love the head lights, motor and the interior is pretty alright. The tail lights are kinda ugg and i wish they had a better design. the sound is amazing and lotta parts for the 370z can just bolt right up. only thing i dont like tooo much about it, its heavy af. nearly 2 tons for my x coupe.
#2 is spot on
Catch can Fixes the oil consumption issue. You'll see. Peace
So to be clear, the auto version of the G35x doesn't consume a lot of oil?
etsneak ... what year is your G35x?
none yet, just considering buying. would probably be an 08 but depends on what's available at the time.
etsneak .. I believe that's the G35 HR engine. That is a great engine. 👍🏽 you won't have as many issues with that engine
What about maintenance and issues in general on 08 g35x AT? I've seen a lot about these cars having issues with power windows, power locks, power moonroof, tearing seat, transmission, etc..
I like the look of the G35 better just like you and also don't want to pay the price of the g37.
I want to get a nice stable g35x because of modification potential and it seems like a fun car to own but don't want to deal with a bunch of expensive and constant maintenance either.
etsneak .. all G35's have those same common Issues unfortunately
Hey bra how many miles did u buy it with?
106
I wish the coupe had the HR I so would of hunted for an 07 coupe.
KpopNiDontStop .. agreed!
What song is this?
Daniel Im .. the one at the end or the beginning of the video? I make my own music for my channel so any songs you hear I created myself.
Does your G35 have the same VQ35HR or VQ35DE engine?
Carlos De Leon ... the VQ35HR was only in the Sedan G35 2007+. They never put the HR in the coupe. The coupe is all on the DE platform but the manual 05-07 coupe has the VQ35DE Revup engine
Steven Rickett Oh that sucks. Should've been the other way around.
the g37 is a land boat compared to the 35..i own a 03 g35 its modded but its only my every other Saturday car not driven daily at all she just sits in the garage with 112 on the odometer. but i have the funds if i wanted a 2018/19 nissan 370z or q60 but man something bout the G that i love bro.
I bouth my mine for 2ks and runs like new
to fix that problem with oil I used 10w40 and that fix it
