I went into his high school the year after he graduated and he's basically my hero and the school is still horrible but they have a little shrine of him in the library like saying "Hey we had a famous person!" and i know they don't truly care. I left the school (Buchanan high school, clovis ca) my sophomore year because of the bullying that i faced there. I really wish i could have met you Chris, I really do.

Yeah they actually mentioned Buchanan High School on Dr Phil when glee actor Max Adler was on there talking about bullying and the show glee. There was apparently a kid on the school wrestling team that was getting harassed by a classmate who did a wrestling move on him called the butt drag, and thank God that kid got expelled from school because what he did was considered sexual harassment in the eyes of the school board.

I'm not gay myself but he's such an inspiration:) I love people for who they are. I actually have LGBT friends. I'm totally okay with them being together with the person who they love. Everybody deserves that. We have no rights to judge them for who they are. They are the same people as we are. The title "LGBT" isn't their name. It's just a small part of their life. They can be represented by so many other ways. Anyways, there are so many people who loves you, and accepts you for who you are. It WILL get so much better just as Chris told you.

This message from Chris has always been one of my favorite from the It Gets Better Campaign. Very well spoken and powerful speech fit into just a minute. I always tear up a bit when he says "Just know that you are loved and you are not alone." That part just has a certain poignancy. I'd probably tear up even more if I hadn't just watched the Joel Burns speech. I'm all cried out. I admit I broke down and sobbed.

Chris Colfer is the most inspirational person I have ever heard of. One day, I hope so much that I will meet him. That's literally my dream. And I will keep trying, because he taught me that every dream is achievable. I'm going into high school next year, which means there will be a lot of bullies. But I know Chris' videos, and books will help me get through. I absolutely can't wait until it is safe to be who you are without being bullied, or judged. But until then, we can deal with the homophobes, and try to EMBRACE OUR TRUE SELF. After all, prejudice is just ignorance. LGBT pride!!! The person I aspire to be said it best:"I promise. it gets so much better" Thank you to all of the gays, lesbians, transgenders, and straights who are fighting for equality❤💙❤

This has been extremely helpful for me, I don't often get acceptance and support regarding my sexuality and especially from my family, which is the hardest part. I'm a huge fan of Chris Colfer's and he is my biggest role model and this video has been more helpful than he could ever know! Bless his golden heart! ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Chris Colfer is such an incredible role model to so many kids that are going through bullying. I remember very clearly back in sixth grade when I was bullied in school. I was the only girl in my special education sixth grade classroom among boys, and in sixth grade, bullying for me got worse. I went from having clear skin to getting acne and eczema, and it seemed as though the only thing that boys could concentrate on or focus on was my outward appearance, calling me 'pimple face' and saying that I had a contagious disease. They would taunt me and say that I looked ugly, that they hoped I would physically get stuffed into a locker on my first day of seventh grade, they would draw large circles on the chalk board with smaller circles for eyes and say that that was me. It was that feeling of me not liking anything about myself, and by the time I got into middle school, I was at my low point because I kept on trying to audition for school musical productions and couldn't even get a minor role. Finally when I was in eighth grade, I stumbled across this video on RUclips and when I heard Chris say "I know what it's like to be bullied and teased every single day," and "There is a world full of acceptance and love just waiting for you to find it," I broke down and I just sobbed because little did I know, but I truly needed a person to tell me, "It's okay, it will get better, you will get through this." Even in my senior year I experienced almost being ostracized by my senior class, because I had spent a good amount of my high school career in special ed due to my ADHD, so I was never able to really bond with anybody because I didn't get too involved in after-school activities and when I was a senior I found myself forming close relationships with teachers and kids that were freshmen. The ostracizing was big for me when I walked into my psychology class at school on the first day and I saw that almost all the girls in my class had a clique and had their own inside jokes, and even though I know they never intentionally wanted to make me feel that way, I was constantly reminded that I didn't have a friendship or a bond with almost anybody in my class and it definitely sucked, especially when we were figuring out roommate situations for our senior class trip to Disney World, I was worried I was going to get stuck in a room with girls that I just did not get along with and that I was going to be the odd one out. I definitely felt a lot like Kurt Hummel from Glee in my senior year because of that and it just hurt. I was so close to sitting by myself during my school's project graduation party, and if it weren't for one of the guys from the basketball team noticing me becoming close to eating dinner alone and offering me to sit with him and his girlfriend and their friends and trying to make me not feel so awkward, I would have most certainly been having dinner by myself that night. In a way, I am glad I am now in my freshman year of college, because that means I get to start over and give myself the experience that I didn't get to have in high school. Whenever I watch this video, I just feel like I am being encouraged to be me and if I hadn't watched this when I was fourteen, who knows how I would be feeling about myself? I also kinda owe it to my drama teacher from when I was a junior, because I had an open relationship with her and she was there to encourage me and say it's okay.

Ignore the hating hypocrites who have selectively read their own holy books (considering how many contradictions there are in said books, it's not hard to do so.).
Somehow, I think your Christianity slipped ("approved:?...and WHO approved you???). "Attend not to the mote in thy neighbor's eye until first thou attendest to the the log in thine own." And Romans 2:1 and "Judge NOT, lest ye be judged." Hypocrite.

This brought a tear to my eye. I was also bullied in high school and primary school because of the fact that I was different from everyone else.

I have been bullied in middle school but I didn't get bullied in high school so far, i just got somewhat isolated because i was kind of weird and barely had two friends, but recently, this one girl i've known has been harassing me and i am now afraid of her. I'm not gay but it still hurts to get bullied whatever your circumstances and this makes me feel better. Thank you Chris, and everyone else on this project. and i can see it gets better.

I just came out of the closet a year ago, and I just started high school. After listening to this song, I felt more confident in myself. But then going into high school was a different story when I suddenly had to go though the same shit about me being bisexual.
SO LISTEN UP! IM PROUD TO BE WHO I AM! LIKE THIS IF YOU AGREE

Okay I've seen sooo many of these videos and I love them all. I usually end up saying "aww" or feeling weak at the knees, or just whatever. But this is one of the few to make me cry.

Thank you for taking the time to do a video for this project. We all know how busy you are, but you are an awesome role model to do this. Love you on Glee.. one of my fave characters. And you are a role model and i think the way they have handled your character in the show also shows it can get better. Take care of yourself.. you have so much to offer/1

As a gay man myself, I am proud to say it really does get better. 10 years or so ago, I was at a loss. When I finally came out at the age of 21 to one of my closest friends, a huge burden fell of my shoulders. That was 3 years ago. the last years more and more people got to know the true me, and I never felt better.
My hearth goes out to all the people that get bullied. It will get better, But please find someone to talk to!
Best wishes and luck to everyone!

I would like to thank you, Chris for all that you have done. You and Darren have actually helped save my life. I may be just a fan to you, but you're more than a superstar to me. You guys have given me the strength to live, day by day. I thank you, my friends and family, and God, for blessing me. You have done great work with your fame, and continue to be yourselves. Don't ever change, please. I guarantee that there will be another person in my place who will need your wisdom. Thank you again.

Thank you Chris, very inspiring, we have a responsibilty to make sure all young people regardless of their race, religion or sexual orientation live free of predjudice and torment, they are our future it's a gross travesty to not stand up for injustice where you see it.

Chris: You probably don't read these youtube comments. I wouldn't blame you. But I just wanted to tell you, you changed my life. After seeing your amazing speeches and performances, I changed :') I know people that are gay, and I stand up for them whenever someone speaks wrong about them. I actually cried in happiness when the marriage equality bill was passed in NY. This changes so many lives. Thank you for being you

His situation on Glee so perfectly connects to this and, although I am not LGBT, I have been lonely and felt out of place. I hope this helps someone, I know from experience that there IS a light after the tunnel.
