Y’all have become my “Go to” resource for real world reviews for anything GoPro and vlogging outdoors. Content is always relevant and presented in a smart, easy to understand way. Thank you for taking the time to create this settings overview video - always appreciated!
Namaste 🙏. This info you have provided has been invaluable for me as I have a GoPro 10 and like making action vlogs. Your explanations plus examples are clear cut. No room for confusion. Thank you very much. I've already made the adjustments in the settings.
It's fun. There's barrel distortion so it's not for every situation but it's cool when you wanna show your surroundings well like nice nature or something
Just bought my new Hero 10. I love it so far. Only issue is that I can't maximize its potential because my computer and cellphone's specs are not that high to handle and edit high quality videos. But I always shoot at 1080p with higher framerate. Still playing around and checking all settings based on my preference and background. Thank you for this review.
Brilliant presentation. Clear, concise, informative. Thank you. I don’t normally subscribe to social media channels but the quality of your content is so professional and useful I have subscribed. Thanks for putting the effort into this.
I am still on the fence on getting the 10. I do like that it deals with lower light a lot better. Since I use the 9 mostly for XC biking, sometimes the woods can be pretty dark (clouds/trees etc) and thus grainy with the 9. Oh the decisions we have in life. Side note: the best Gopro accessory that I have purchased is hands down the media mod. I even use it while riding. I don't notice any additional weight and the audio works really well. Plus it cuts down the wind noise. One of my recent videos shows the wind noise reduction really well since I started the video with my iPhone 12 with no wind muff LOL! Thanks again for some great information.
This video clearly deserves more views! Thank you for this honest review work. I appreciate your authenticity. All the best to you and your family . Cheers from Paris with love Antoine

Its my first time to discovering you Gemini. I wanna say love you. thank you for best information about go pro 10! Thank you!
Thanks for all the reviewed info! I've got a question regarding the framerate: My options for 4k are 50fps or 25fps. I don't have the option for 30fps. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to update my software or something else? Thanks.
Your videos have been really helpful in preparation for my trip that I want to film with gopro. I was just confused that you say you almost always shoot at 4k30. However, when talking about the activity profile, you say you film in 4k60 because you edit in 4k24. That confused me because surely you are not editing 4k30 in a 4k24 timeline right? Also, when editing in a 24fps timeline, 60fps does not slow down as perfectly as in a 30fps timeline right?
Thanks for going through the low light settings.I sometimes go up to 3200 but only certain night scenes. It does have more noise to it so i try to avoid that plus i got the light for the media mod so that will light up the picture. If i shoot in 4k at 30fps,how much video can you get from a 512gb memory card?Medium sharpness is what i stay on and never change.I love the natural setting on there but those water scenes look dazzling in vibrant mode. Appreciate all the tips you give so i can make better videos!!!!Does the Gopro Hero 10 support 1tb memory cards?
You got your Hero 10 video just time, mine arrived yesterday. So your video will be my quick setup guide. And thanks for sharing all this great information. Your channel has become my go to source for GoPro information.
When you get a chance, would you please share with us what accessories you would recommend for filming cooking videos , and what would be a preferred setting? Thanks in advance!
Recommended accessories and settings depending on the environment you're shooting in and the look you're trying to achieve. But I would likely do the Cinematic settings mentioned in the video, plus an ND filter if needed. Also, lots of artificial lighting assuming you're shooting in a kitchen since the default kitchen lighting is usually very bad for video. I'd only use the GoPro for wide cooking video shots if you want closeup details of the food, you need a different camera like a smartphone of mirrorless camera.
This video is so helpful. I just order a Go pro 10 and your review is fantastic. Is this camera good for a RUclips who does a sit down video? If so what setting should I be using or same setting as vlog. Thanks
So glad you enjoyed the video! If you're sitting indoors, it depends on how much lighting you have, but you can probably leave most of the settings on auto. The main thing I'd change is Hypersmooth--turn it off since you don't need the stabilization, and it will give you what wider field of view.
I have this GoPro and some of my videos don't play on my phone . And also when I uploaded to my Instagram videos don't looks so good . Any tips ? On how to better this
What is your thought between Hero 10 and DJI Pocket 2. In the process to decide which one to get. Thanks. Nice informative video. Keep up the good work.
When i shoot video in very light conditions.. like on af white sandy and sunny beach... I have to have the sun straight in the back, otherwise footage turn almost black.. thinking it has something to do with the ISO?
I try to transfer files from gopro 10 to pc. While gopro 10 is connecting to media mode. And what happens is: Gopro accepts PC, and PC also accepts gopro. I can also access Gopro's video library but I can't copy files from gopro 10 to my pc. The file transfer process just started for a few seconds when it failed. My question is: Is there a way to transfer files from Gopro to PC, while Gopro 10 is still connected to Media Mode. I know that just removing Media Mode from Gopro 10 will make file transfer easy. But I'm lazy. Thanks in advance for your support

Do you plan a general review of the GoPro 10? You've covered a lot of specific stuff ... I think I can glean from what I've seen that you're fans of this camera. But, a general review for those of us considering this purchase might be nice. Also, for those of us who make road trip vlogs, do you have any recommendations for Hero 10 settings? In particular: when I drive south, I'm often shooting more-or-less directly into the sun. At your recommendation, I'm using Filmora X and can edit so that the sun does not overwhelm everything else. But are there filters and settings that I could be using if I upgraded to 10? (In response to what might be your first question, don't ask, I'm leaning heavily on a Hero 7 Silver!)
Yes, a full review of the Hero 10 is on the way. If you have too much lighting, ND filters are a great accessory for helping in those conditions - ruclips.net/video/44lYINWF0Mg/видео.html
hi!! thanks for your videos! would you know how horizontal alignment works when we do vertical filming? does it keep the video vertical and aligned or it understands that it should be a horizontal video?
I was hoping you'd discuss the front/back microphone issue for the 10, thanks! I have the 9 and it's such a hassle to switch between front and back mics. And then adding the media mod to allow for an external mic increases the size which isn't ideal for me. There are always trade offs, but I don't understand how they had the stereo mics in the 8 and now they're gone.
I use DaVinci Resolve to edit my videos and it does not support HEVC. I have to resort to using handbrake to convert it. However, I just found a setting to save it as HEVC and H.264. This lowered my video space from 1hr17min to 57min. Any advice on video editing software or if I should stick to using handbrake? I am somewhat new to videography and am not interesting in spending money and video editing software.
Great video, thank you. Can I use the Gopro Remote Control that I bought for my Gopro 8 for the new Gopro 10 or do I have to buy the new Remote Control?
Thank You for your awesome tutorial! There is one thing that has me puzzled with the GoPro Hero10..... I usually shoot in manual 100% of the time using the 180° rule when flying my DJI Mavic Air drone. When choosing which ND filter to use, I do so by getting as close to EV 0.0 to - 0.5 as possible. With that being said, as you know, the EV on the GoPro isn't available when using manual. Is there another solution for knowing/confirming how to get the proper exposure when choosing ND's other than just looking at the screen? I really don't want to depend on each shot by guessing the exposure on the screen throughout the day/s. I see that as being a nightmare in post. Based on this, is this why you prefer to shoot in Auto Shutter and WB and adjust your EV - 0.5 on the GoPro? My biggest concern would be on bright sunny days without the use of a ND filter. Thanks again and looking forward to your next video. 😊👍
Good question. We shoot on auto 99% of the time with the GoPro for this reason that you mentioned. Manual control just isn't as easy to figure out on the GoPro than it is on other cameras.
@@Gemini_Connect That's for sure.... I don't understand why GoPro didn't leave EV usable when using manual settings. Thanks for your reply along with your awesome tutorial. 😊👍

I just bought GoPro 10. I shoot a 5k portrait. with auto and manual setup. nd filter and a CPL filter. the skin tone looks terrible graining and noise. I try with my DSLR same area and weather skin tone look amazing. GoPro 10 is good for landscape. Shoot family and portrait video quality are terrible. I just return and I never trust GoPro products. Junk.

Gopro 10 is bueatiful but i have no money for buying this Gadgets so i used my cell phone for vloging Samsung A7
4K 30fps Overheats after 25 mins for me. Pretty consistently :/
Oh, I stand corrected: it was 11 mins, on the GoPro tripod. :/
Wow, sorry to hear that. Maybe try reaching out to GoPro support. I chatted with them over another issue and they were very helpful.

Junk.
