I was stationed there from 1990-1994. 60th Ord. Went to work everyday at PSP 3J. Company runs to the tree. Hanging at the Studio. Great times and great memories.
I also remember buying my 1989 Toyota Corolla from the Toyota salesman in the video before deploying to the Gulf. It was a sky blue colored car and I was the first owner. Remember having to get the emissions changed before shipping it back to the states in 1992. I thought I would never have to leave Germany, but…We know how that works when you’re in the United States Army or any other branch of military service. Anyways those definitely were the good old days and I could watch this video every day.
My father went to Iraq from there and again in 2003, we still live in Germany today, I also come from nearby and it always makes me sad to see that there are no longer any Americans here and the barracks are empty.
CPT Ferguson was my old boss and SSG Wilson ran the motor pool. I was a PAC rat for 60th Ordnance Company from 89-92, haven't seen or thought of them in years. Thanks, brings back a lot of great memories!
That was my old duty station then. Remembered deploying from there to the Gulf. Unit was A Co 2nd Battalion 67th Ar 3AD. That was a sad time. But we came back and then the draw down for units in Germany started a few years later. This just took me back in time for a few. Thanks for the memories.
You're very welcome. As an Army Brat who lived in Germany during the 70's-90's, the draw-down and closure of so many bases was really difficult. Thank to videos like these we can still remember those great times in Germany.
I was a mechanic in the 60th ord co with capt fergusn and sgt Wilson, good times. Was an E5 when I took over the motor pool from sgt Wilson. Would be great to hear how they are these days.
Yeah, I remember the motor pool. Chief Payne, Rob, Cisco (that was your road dog), Chad Stolz, fun times indeed. Feels like not too long ago. And the ping pong table in the break room.
Hi, Do you remember a very short white female called Busie (sp) who work in the moto pool as a mechanic? she was a friend I lost contact with her. She was then promoted to a Warr Office. I am trying to locate her. She worked they're approximately from 1979 to 1981.

Thanks for your service. My old base, Hahn AB, is also just a memory. Much of the base has been repurposed as a civilian airport.
Wow was this a blast from the past! It was my first duty station with 54th Spt Bn 88 to 90.

Glad to help bring back some great memories for you. Enjoy.
Miss you and Neff, we had some fun times together. I ended up living in Germany for 10 years.
And we can never forget Sgt. Holloway!!! RIP Never stopped thinking of him. Soft spoken, humble and the smile.
Was he the one that had the forklift accident? Big, muscled up fella if I remember him correctly. Sad day.
