I’m new to basketball and I’m 17 so I’m trying to build up my iq to make up for my lack of experience a bit and this helped me to understand defensive concepts more, so thanks coach
I really like the way you explaine the 2-3 and 3-2 zone defense. Also love the red and blue players which helps alot as far as understanding the zone. Will definitely recommend this video to friends.
I was trying to make a rhyme like "2-3 blocks the key" but not I've come up with this "3-2 allows a two", more focused on stopping three's, 2-3 "allows a three", more focused on stopping two pointed in the key.
I hate zone in elementary level. I prefer straight up man to man. Yes of course it's harder to run and might cost you some games. In the long run however it will benefit the kid. Do you agree? I might throw in combo of both if we are really struggling for an improvement game like let's say box n 1 or triangle n 2
That defense is usually used when on late game and the game is down by 1-4, and they try to steal the ball or get a foul. I THINK. Coach Allen can correct me if I’m wrong

I always say to teach man first then teach zone after. a lot of man to man concepts help with zone
If coaches are running zone in elementary, they are way too focused on winning. Losers living vicariously through children.
Thxxx coach hopefully my team gets a dub after I send this to them!! 💪
Great video coach! I was wondering what’s the name of the app or Programm you are using? Thanks!
With a 2-3 Zone, can player 5 just hang out in the middle of the key ? defensive 3 second rule ?
depends in the league... most schools use the FIBA or NCAA style rules where there is not defensive 3 seconds
This is very informative
thanks, glad you enjoyed.... thank you for all the great comments
Coach what program are you using to demonstrate this? Thank you! great videos!
Coachbase, but it doesnt exist anymore ... here's what I use now www.playbookteams.com
@@bballcoachallen Thanks Coach!!!
I know Fort Lauderdale beach basketball court very well lol…. I know it’s random but the video is verry educational
thank you, glad you enjoyed the video, I love that court

In my team we have a lot of shooters and only 2 post/cutters/rim attackers. Is that a good recipe?
can be, but I would get those shooters cutting and driving as well to keep defences guessing
What app are you using
this is an old app that doesnt exist anymore ... here is a new one apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=1603572641&code=ALLEN10
I have a match but I forgot my team's formations, wish me luck 😭🙏🏼

A full court press is when you play defense the whole length of the court... I have a video coming on Feb 14 for you
