listened to this album on home copy cassette while walking around downtown Detroit during major building deconstruction at 3 in the morning high as hell if this wasn't perfect background for a dark industrial decaying city great memories
So sullen black haired women with eyeliner and cowboy hats... exploring the LA underground at 3 AM? Okay we'll get Martin Scorsese to direct and produce.
Lydia Lunch - This Side of Nowhere 27.2.23 2223pm time for your lydia to star in a road movie, then? i like that notion - b+w film - not digitally shot - with her crossing some cuddy state line due to her murdering someone and meeting a whole heap of oddball freaks as she gives the law and the revenge squad sent out to git her the slip etc etc etc... you know how such things go - you should write the synopsis.
this is one of the finest punk albums ever made. or "no wave" or whatever you want to call it.. lydia and the nyc scene paved the way for.. lets just say alot. thanks for posting, im sorry that people are offended but if they are.. why are they listening to it?
Dead still the hour in the middle of the day Dead still the horror in the middle of the day Pulling at your collar, pulling at your hair You've got to find a way to get out of there What do you do when your legs won't run When you want to scream but you can't find your tongue Middle of nowhere, middle of the night You've got to find a way to get out of there Take it from strangers and see what you get What do you want...well I bet that you get it Ride past the highway hiding forever I'm sleeping on this side of going nowhere Slow down the clock in the middle of the night Close off the world in the middle of the night Pitch black murder in the dead of the night You've got to find a way to get out of there
13.13 really feels like Lunch's best to me. Transitional no wave into goth rock was just so seamlessly done on this record.
Totally. I feel like this album is so neglected and it's absolute perfection.
This is such a hidden fucking gem
This album is incredible

the world's collapse is an orgasm of nature
lol... alrighty then
This would be perfect for a neo western goth punk movie. Perhaps set in the 80s, during or around Halloween.

It should star Steve Buscemi!!!
William dafoe

13.13 is awesome
I told nice guys at the deli to CK out 13 13..it still packs a punch .and at 60.. still smoking!!
Courtney Love, Patti Smith, Joan Jett and a few others "took a page" from Lydia's book...and some I don't even think realize it.
lol no
@@ouroboro266 lol yes..😐
@@seriousbismuth2173 no
Pretty sure Patti came first. Lydia just took it further.

Lydia Lunch and The Dining Room of Deadbate
There's no such thing as proper lyrics. Music is art, art is expression. Nothing has to be "right"
that´s right
Maybe with the lyrics, but with the instruments....
SHE'S not a 'PUNK'....bUT SHE'S THE 'pUNKIEST' PERSON i HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.. aMazINg !

OK, out of sight.... all night long....
Oh right! I misread that. Apologies "waynehugstress".
I'm guessing that wayne means proper in the English way, just meaning good.
her music makes me want to smoke some ****.
Cloves? Menthols?
mackerel?
loool you don't have much musical culture don't you?
Now she is an academic receiving federal funding. And no, heroin is not a preservative.
e.e Who let her do vocals?
+LaMingo Johnson i like the riffs but im not really feelin her voice, like nails on chalkboard.
you'll come back
LaMingo Duringo Badabingo Flamingo.
Queen of Siam is overrated
Yeah, because it was such a huge top 40 smash hit album. Who’s doing all this ‘rating’ anyway?
