Not only her but many artists from that era went into that approach, to challenge it all. We, that listen to her work, we are not after something that gives us pleasure. Artists that wants to give people pleasure they are not artists, they are prostitutes.
Anesthesya art is subjective, your belief that art has to come from a place of pain doesn’t mean it has to be painful to the ears! There are plenty of artists that come from places of pain yet still understand its MUSIC and meant to be enjoyed when listened to. Not something so nauseating to listen to you need to somehow justify it because “iTz aRt, ArT iZ pAiN!”
