    If you want to have a laugh turn on subtitles and see how much the auto-subtitles struggle to understand our Canadian accents. 😂
    Sorry for the Audio issues on this episode. There's an exporting issue with the editing program I use this month.

      I noticed that on the last one I watched, talking about oregon grape berry eating and something pretty funny resulted, I do not notice any accent though ..

      Thank you! Subscribed to your channel when you last commented. Not sure if youtube auto-flagged that comment because I can't seem find it now. It's exciting to see so many people sharing a love for foraging on the Island now! Take care :)

    Loved the narration and explanations in this episode! Helps me to learn some of what you guys have discovered over the years. Excited about next week’s episode and the future Morel 2023 series!

      Great to hear it! Morel content should come out following the fall season content. We will have foraging videos releasing all winter. :)

    10:55 i cook them and vacum seal them to preserve them works quite well

      Yeah that is also a great method! We also do a bit of that for our own consumption, as well as freezing them pre-sliced.

    Enjoyed. Hope you guys can GPS those higher density patches. Your chanterelles are so much bigger than even our big varieties here in NL (but ours flush way denser sometimes, 100 lbs in 2500mm2)

      This was a very low volume season for chanterelles here on Vancouver Island. I think i have probably 30 separate gps tracks from over the last decade in this particular patch. During a better year we get around 200lbs from a day of harvesting with two of us but we’ve been having a real lack of summer rain the last 3 years.

    • @northernwildharvest
      @northernwildharvest  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yes we did. It's a more involved project so it's going to take some time to edit but it will be on our channel in the future!

    Do you find Black Trumpets ?

    • @northernwildharvest
      @northernwildharvest  9 месяцев назад +1

      We don’t really harvest them on Vancouver Island. Lots of people head down to north/central Cali for them.
