Fascinating. Dope mixing console! Also, this is a study in well recorded material. Sounds like material that was recorded with EQ / compression going down to tape/daw. Also helps that it’s Green Day.
Excellent mixing! He's the king of mixing! And Rock is perhaps the most difficult genre because of the variety of electric guitars causing a lot of clipping with the kick drum and base. Then to separate the vocals from all the tracks...
How many think at 2:36 when he boost the EQ that it does not sound good. A warmer EQ would have been much better. A Massive Passive or Neve Eq would have sound smoother and more pleasant. I have to admit it's the best console in its price range. But with it you have to redo all your settings from song to song. With not being able to save your settings makes working in the DAW the better choice. Just buy a Neve 8424 with several key outboard EQs and call it a day.
its just your input channles and auxes up there. stuff that while mixing you dont touch much anyways. you can always use the lower auxes for sends anyways. ssls always have tons of auxes.

More a tech demo not a mixing session. They’re in a massive convention center with 100’s of other booths, not a treated control room
Still can’t get past the fact there’s not fader automation in this console.
wanna hire CLA to do a full mix on your convention? It wont be cheap.
