Join me in Strike of Nations and let's conquer the world together!
In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4) video we will be giving every nation in the world Exploration and Expansion ideas FULLY UNLOCKED in 1444. This means every single nation (that can afford and reach) will be able to colonize any province n the world DAY ONE.

Mughals actually did benefit from Expansion's decreased autonomy in territories and some of the trade bonuses the two idea sets give,
Exactly, having national ideas at start is a huge buff
The Knights popping off brought a smile to my face.
As a Turk myself, I laughed so hard that the nationalists live in Berlin. They even call as traitors when they themself not living in the country 🤣
as a turk i laughed too
Greeks in Chicago 🤝 Turks in Berlin.
Fighting on the Internet, who's home country is the best.
Same bro
@@Resardiv And because they visit their "home" countries once a year they think they understand the culture of those countries better than the natives. Had a discussion with a russian guy the other day who was so absolutely convinced that Putin is a great patriot whom's only goal is bettering the lives of all russians. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
you're russian?@@Finckelstein
I feel like EU4 should have a button similar to "turn off historical focuses" in HOI4, so that AI will do truly random things.
I guess having lucky nations set to random as opposed to historical does fine as long as they all aren't crappy 3 dev OPMs, though it disables achievements.
Don't they do that anyway? They pretty much colonize and expand completely randomly.
@pyroparagon8945 some things are seriously hard-coded, such as an insanely far colonial distance for africa, the Mediterranean and the baltics, and spain, Portugal and england pretty much always take explo-expansion, and nations from other parts of the world pretty much never do.
its already random lol
It's so weird hearing the Vicky 2 soundtrack without constant construction noises or technology beeps
as a Venezuelan, seeing "Venetian" as the main culture of eastern Venezuela (and tuscan in the western part) was so cool xd
Teneriffe is actually colonized by castile from the start of the game. Was a change that came with Domination.
Oopsies
@Chewbert is their a mod for this? If so can you please tell me also Great vid like always
*does a colonization video*
Timurid AI: "screw it, I'm going for a world conquest this time"
Thank you so much for doing my eu4 suggestion!
As an Australian, I loved seeing the utter chaos in the Pacific
What about eu4 , but everyone starts with max tech, but tech decreases over time (everyone ends game at tech 3)
how do you do that though
@@BlazingFlame69you can cap or fix technology which max level goes down all X years
@@BlazingFlame69should be possible for some coders i guess not to complicated
worst case you just make tech take awway modifiers that it would give and disable units/buildings when needed
Also pretty interesting that nations start with their first 4 national ideas unlocked
Gotta love that Crusader Knights' empire. Papal approval for sure.
You should do the same campaign but have the normally dominant colonizers like (France, portugal sPAIN, england etc.) not be able to take explo and expansion ideas i think it should make a much more interesting and cool end to the campaign
15:40 glorious. Mughals means Mongols in Iranian. A true successor
Monster Mughals brings a tear to my eye. The nicest color of the three Big Green Blobs comes out on top
the culture in calafornia is kannada
it is a language in the state of karnataka in india
Good ol' ai Knights larping as the Latin Empire, I think I've seen everything now. Great video, keep 'em coming!
Thanks, will do!
0:04 hasn't everyone who has ever played EU4 already do this?
Litteraly what I’m thinking
I'd say The Knights deserve to be the star of the next Max Tech or All Monuments video for their performance in this video.
the dutch got exiled to greenland 💀
Colonial Swiss empire on Chewyshoot when?
that mughals is cracked omfg
Love the video ideas you come up with, keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
The knight's all monuments pls
"Have you ever wanted to command an army?"
*Cosplays Napoleon*
Fun to see venetian culture in the place of today's Venezuela, that actually means "little Venice" in spanish.
Oh really? Because Klein Venedig was the German name for it lol
I can`t wait for that Mega Campaign :D
Music from Victoria II is beautifull in every game.
17:54 Kannada is a culture from Southern India. It is the starting culture of Vijayanagar (and Mysore).
The Ming did get exiled to Taiwan in our timeline.
Tenrife starts colonized by spain ever since domination released
MY FAVORITE EPISODE! Finally is colonialism fun!
Great Horde gets conquered by Muscovy / Russia..
The Commonwealth: "I'm about to revive this man's whole career."
Knights were so close to Jerusalem
Always nice to see Commonwealth not being destroyed by Ottomans and Russia!
mughals be like "ha! imagine needing an advantage to conquer the world"
"Tim Heidecker voice". It's free Real Estate
How's this for a playthrough idea:
No Exploration & Expansion ideas for anyone. You want to colonize? Better have that in the national idea set.
Oh I am taking from it alright. (signs up for Mandarin classes)
what was the name of the first son? btw I love how amerikas still looks like vanilla eu 4
I wouldn't mind living in this world
Did Montferrat maintain Palaiologos dynasty?
Can you make a video using the “fate of Islam” or “broken cross” mods
I think it would have been cooler to see only Europeans having these ideas unlocked
But how to form Turkey in EU4? Not the Ottomans, but exactly Turkey? How to get it on the map?
I explained it, revolution i believe
Please show the culture and religious map mode for the rest of the world. Would’ve been interesting to see the changes the Mughals caused.
I loved seeing AI Mughals go crazy. What about as a switch, decolonize all the colonised provinces and have custom modern day nations in the uncolonized provinces
Is that mod available? I loved the chaos
What are the chapters? Is it a youtube glitch cause they are jusy random pistol names from csgo
Need to try a random new world start
I agree! I’ve been planning it actually but there’s no good up to date mods for it
I'm guessing everyone sent their armies overseas, allowing Mughals to gobble them all up!
New idea reduce every nation to just their capital
I have it on my channel!
Maybe don't give castille and portugal the ideas, that would be an interasting endgame
This would be a really interesting vic2 conversion
this also nerfs alot of nations that dont colonize by them noit being able to take ideas xD
>the mughals in question
They actually benefit a lot from these ideas, they make vassals and autonomous regions less impactfull on your nations overall stability and thats what probably fired them of at the start of the game. They integrated their vassals much faster than they normally would have.
Now do the same but delete Castile, Portugal, France and UK. Would be really cool. I feel like south america and the east coast going to traditional colonizers was kinda sad.
Please can u unite the continents.
Mughal huge W
mod link for this?
Kannada is an indian culture
Colonizing efficiency in EU4 is driven SOLELY on economic capacity and the ability to stay at peace for extended periods.
A single colonist at 50 settlers (easy to obtain number) a month has to be funded 2 ducats for 20 years to get 1k pops.
2*(20*12) = 480 ducats PER PROVINCE @ 50 SETTLERS. This is why Settlers modifier is so valuable, because it allows relatively poor countries with a small amount of total provinces (therefore, production, ducats) like Portugal to EXPONENTIALLY SPEND LESS on colonization while getting more out of it. The more settlers, the less you have to spend per province. Less settlers, the more you have to pay and longer you have to wait.
The second biggest factor to colonization is, how long are you staying at peace for and who are your allies, because this also means more ducats and more provinces because you wont have to fund your armies or go bankrupt and lose progress. All Western European countries are really strong barring Portugal which allows them to stay competent in Colonization.
Countries that have to go to war often like Hordes just simply cannot colonize because it's suboptimal. If you do, it works but it's very slow and expensive.
This is exactly why certain tags in the game go far and beyond colonizing (like England) and others are pretty mediocre at it (like Holland, Mamluks or Denmark).
Actually it’s because no nations except the ones that colonize are programmed to take the exploration/expansion idea sets
