Yes we can definitely tell a difference.
The one on the right looks like a Indica leaf and the one on the left looks like a Sativa leaf !
I planted seeds from a friend and some I bought, last year and was surprised to have different varieties. My large ones are quite a bit darker than yours, though. They definitely go further in jam. First time growing them up here in Bundy, I love that I can have a longer season with two varieties. We will be planting out a lot more next year!
I used to have the darker/larger variety but lost it a couple of years ago :( Would you have some spare seeds to sell or swap as I would love to grow them again? Thx
I think I must have the larger variety..didn't know there was smaller.
Awesome video, something I didn't know, thought it was the region they were growing in, do you supply seeds? Thx in advance
Thank you :) Yes, I do sell seeds. Here is the link to my online shop www.foodforestseeds.au/product/roselle-rosella-seeds-hibiscus-sabdariffa/ Have a great day!
@@PermacultureHaven hi, I see you don't send to south africa
What is the variety of the bigger ones called in case we want to look for the seeds?
Hey is it true that Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is way healthier than Hibiscus sabdariffa(also known as Rosella) for tea and eating purposes?
Hi, I wouldn't think so.
That was helpful. I’m in a colder climate in Melbourne Australia but have managed to grow the one with the smaller leaves. It isn’t very big though but that could be the position too. I’m looking for way to enjoy them without sugar being involved. Do you have any suggestions please?
I usually dehydrate the Rosella, store it in a jar and enjoy as a tea. You can also make a jam using honey instead of sugar. Enjoy your Rosella!
@@PermacultureHaven thank you. I’ll dehydrate them for tea then. I don’t eat honey either 😅
I am also in Melbourne but I can't find it in bunnings.. can u pls tell me where you got yours from.?
@@zakmohamed8028 I grew mine from seed. the Seed Collection I think.
Wow, thanks for sharing! I grow the small variety and have never seen the large one. Can you remember the name of the seed supplier? Would love to get some.
No sorry but I will sell some seeds soon. Please subscribe to my newsletter on website and I let you know when I have some ready.
