I really like Bridear. This song was written by newest member MOE, the guitarist with the longer lighter hair. She wanted to put some favorite riffs in without changing Bridear's base sound. They also wanted to create a song the audience could sing along with them. It's not their heaviest by far, but they still play all of their fan favorites, present and past. Their lives are loud and are a blast to attend. They formed in 2012 and still working through all their difficulties.

The later work is a little mainstream sounding, the early stuff was excellent tho and I still buy anything they release.

Jill plays violin, Fare Beyond the Sun. For something kinda spectacular.

I am not a huge fan either in general, they are really talented though. I bought their latest album and there are only 1 or 2 tracks on it that I really like. That said, I do like "Brand New World Revisited" a lot. It's a bit more progressive and I wish they did more tracks like that. If a fan knows other tracks by them that are more like "Brand New World Revisited", please let me know.
Their earlier sound is more metalcore from the couple of old tracks I have heard. I am not a huge fan of a lot of "-core" genres, but I enjoyed them more than I did a lot of the tracks on their newer album. It's not bad though, just not that interesting.
I did get a livestream ticket to give them somewhat of a final chance and I really enjoyed that set even though the soundquality was terrible (the venue that streamed their fault, not the band). There was constant clipping and the bass was basically non-existent. The biggest gripe I had was that the new guitarist Moe had an off-day, with a lot of flubs, but that can happen and I'm not holding it against her. The main point is that I enjoyed it a lot and I am certainly down to check out more live stuff from them if I have the chance. Maybe I should get their live album even though I generally don't buy a lot of live albums.
So this band is basically close to a "Live only" band for me. Fate Gear is similar in that regard en probably Trident is as well. I am not a huge fan of the vocals on the album tracks I have heard because all 3 of them use a lot of production on the vocals, but it sounded good live at least for Bridear and Fate Gear. I should still find a way to get a non-produced live video from Trident because their DVD is produced like the Band-Maid and Lovebites DVD's/Blu-rays are produced. It sounds really good, but it's somewhere in between Live sound and studio sound.

Have to agree with the production stuff. Overall I think their studio mix is better balanced and with less effects than fate gear, but I still prefer raw life recordings. Kimi's voice is allready on the smooth side of the spectrum and doesnt need to be polished any further. Also the drums have more bang live.
The songs they choose for MV's are probably those with the biggest commercial appeal (understandably so) but I really prefer the japanese songs. Kimi does a good job with english lyrics but japanese just rolls different.
Brave new World is kind of a unique song, dont think they have anything similar. Some of Misaki's creations are in this direction but less progressive. Dance Macabre, Keshin & Misery Machine are some examples. Unfortunately those song dont make it into live sets.
I need to get more livestream tickets aswell in the future. Had one for fate gear a couple days ago and Nana didnt disappoint.

Thanks for the info. I will try to check out some of these tracks. I didn't even know they had Japanese songs, I am not the biggest fan of Kimi's English actually but I agree that she is better than a whole bunch of Japanese vocalists I have heard. I also prefer Japanese or a mixed language for most Japanese vocalists, but to be fair it didn't really bother me in this track.
Also great to hear about the Fate Gear set, because I have still a set left to watch from them that was a couple of days ago (I'm sure it's the same set) and that I haven't watched yet. Nana (and Erika) are always a blast to watch live.
The unfortunate thing is that I also got one for an other bunch of concerts that happened the same day as Hades was one of the bands on there (who are also better live than the MV they picked, which I am not a huge fan of) and Bridear apparently also played that day, but Bridear's show wasn't available in the stream (they said so beforehand). It's a bit of a shame, but what can you do. That or they didn't play and I misunderstand the translations, but it said it when I got it a while ago so I don't think so.

You're not crazy or stupid, but this isn't their best work by far - it's kind of a "bonus" track coming after their latest album (and not featured on it). It's written by their new guitarist Moe (first solo) and I think it's a way of welcoming her - most songs are usually written by the only original members Kimi (vocals) and Haru (bass) and more recent guitarist Ayumi (there's even a track from the - very good - drummer Natsumi).
I'm a fan of the band but I usually have a problem with their studio videos (except probably "Brave New World Revisited" - I'm sure you would like that one so much more!). They're much better on stage and I've been lucky to watch them in 2021 in Brussels - very good set with many catchy songs (they already have a long career, starting in 2011! so they have many good songs) and great audience participation. They've been smart enough to record a live album in London last year and it's a very good one, which doubles up as a best of.
Recommended videos: "Brave New World Revisited" and the 2017 "Ignite".

Bridear was one of the best gigs i have ever been to in over 40 years , so much talent running through this band . But tbh not the best track and their live vids are better than studio in my opinion. Omg and Haru on bass sounded like she had the demon from the exorcist living inside her at the gig.

For me, Bridear is one of those bands that are almost there, but just not yet. They have potential, but they just haven't hit the mark yet. But that's just my opinion.

New Bridear just does not do it for me. The work since Misa, Mitsuru and Zkai left is just too cut and paste for me. The new members can play for sure, especially the drummer. They do have a couple good ones in newer albums but most miss for me. If you want good Bridear, at least to my ears go. Light in the Dark mv, Scream live and Thread of Light mv.
