It’s truly hard to believe: Keith Emerson wrote and performed this on his first ELP album. It got so little recognition because its technical sophistication was inaccessible to the vast majority of listeners. And it has been mastered and presented by so few musicians
Of all the cover versions I have listened to, including those by respected concert pianists, your cover is the ONLY one that seems to incorporate the emotional content present in Emerson’s version. Excellent job!
Wonderful and brilliant performance of one of my favorite piano pieces by the master. When I first heard this work as a young teenager I was completely blown away. Hopefully this helps introduce a whole new generation to Keith's music and his genius..... Thanx

Nice job! Hard to believe Emerson was 26 when he performed this for ELP's 1st album. You did a great job on perhaps my favorite piano piece of all time.
Amazing. Brought back house bumps from memories of feeling wow. Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman are and always will be my heroes of the great live concert era of prog rock. And quite a few others of the time who made groups sound amazing live. Tony Banks and Rick Wright... Still got goose bumps
I watch this video everyday I love how you play it so much. I don’t often see the hands playing a complicated piece like this. I wish I could do that. Thank you for putting it up.
I have to say I’ve watched several videos of other pianists covering ELP’s Lachesis and it’s pretty clear to me yours is as close to Keith as you can get.
Wow, that was excellent! I've been working on this myself so I know how difficult it is. Especially the part at 1:58 has always been a challenge, and you executed it beautifully. Bravo!!
Great!! If you like Emerson and Chopin , please try with Memoirs of an officer and a gentlemen, from Love Beach. Is Chopin by Keith . Cheers from Buenos Aires Argentina
I remember, about 10-15 years ago practicing Lachesis. After getting 10% though the song, I gave up. Far too much for only 1 yaar of tutoring. But can you imagine what it must have been like to think this up this musical idea in your head - for the first time - in the early 70s - and turn it into music? To me, that's genius.
Very clean. Bravo! I’d encourage you to re-record this technical marvel on a real grand piano or at least better digital sample, as you clearly have excellent technique and deserve an improved media. Thanks and keep the great tributes!
You've done it again. You do not choose "easy" pieces! Ty for this amazing rendition. I'm wondering which piano you have because the sound is so rich and resonant. Which one is it?
Not being a piano player but admiring great ones that can, can you explain why your hands are crossed over while playing @approx 1:05? Just a quirk I noticed while you were playing. I have never understood how one’s brain can be playing two completely different things simultaneously with two hands. Also very good rendition of one of his finer works👍👍
Grazie per aver ascoltato. With regard to crossed hands, this is the most natural solution, given that the right hand is already engaged previously in a rhythmic figure that is always repeated the same even later, it would be useless to interrupt the rhythmic flow with an exchange of hands, consequently the left (which is free) interprets the main voice bypassing the right.
@@dalubar: Thank you: I've been looking at this model for a couple of years and contemplating purchasing. Your powerful performance is prodding me to this piano.

Great job!!!
People forget in 1971-72 this stuff was played on radio stations. Not quite to the esteemed level of today's hip-hop, but pretty darn good.
Well, technically the only song from this 1970 debut album that got radio play was Lucky Man.
Where can I get transcriptions of his music?
Could you tell me what kind of music/piano training you have had?
Hi Roberta, I have Conservatory piano degrees in Italy.
