Link's dart throwing was never really the reason he kept losing. he's just bad at guessing the correct answers and usually picks poor strategic locations on the edges of the map. he'd probably have a better chance constantly aiming for the middle of the board every round.
I love this segment so much because they get so competive and it's really fun but tense,, draws me in every time

The ironic thing is by having a professional dart thrower it actually put Link at a disadvantage because Russ is always going to get extremely close to whatever Link guesses which means Link has to guess it right (which he never is). It removes the possibility of him getting points by accident.
