Like seriously this dude is so hell-bent on power and conquest he'll even kill himself because apparently the only one with enough ambition and strength to take him down is himself. Electricity doesn't it cross his mind that that might cause a paradox because that's literally his younger self

What Shredder was saying at the end, that now that he knows the future he will do it right this time around, it's exactly what that old king on the throne of Hell thought.
