I always tell people, the number 1 rule in SA is, don't advertise your shit. And you'll never be robbed. I have no sympathy for anyone who doesn't realize they live in SA and take necessary steps to protect their belongings or themselves. People are for the most part, completely Oblivious about dangers around them.
Like in this instance they ring the bell first. They know if someone is inside he/she will respond and when the person inside comes out they tell him that they are looking for piece jobs. Some come pretending to be selling something or some services. When there is no response they know that there is no one inside and they proceed to break their way in. The best way to deal with them is never to respond even if you are inside. Do something to show that you are inside and that you don't respond to strange visitors. On my gate I have a notice that I don't attend to visitors unless there is prior arrangement.

I go to church with whites who admit to intentionally exploiting blacks even after they "found Jesus" they continue to be criminally opressive toward blacks. My wife also worked for a white woman who runs a recruitment agency and they were systematically giving whites the best jobs for the lowest qualifications over blacks. There was a ccma case about that and the woman fired all the blacks including my wife because they were fighting against her racism. If I was in the same position as these blacks not only would I rob I would also kill
