  • This movie will cover removal of the BMW E60 and E61 front seats.
    Same steps may apply to other BMW cars.
    I will strongly recommend to have support of the second person, as this task for myself was highly challenging.
    Good idea will be also to have carton board that can be used to lay down the seats after removing.
    Good luck and thank you for checking my channel.

    hopefully that helps me with the electric seat driver site, to change the back rest, because its oily when heat the seat to my jacket, or you have any other tipp here? Did you do it by yourself similar to change the back rest with heating? Seat is fully electric! Everything. E61 2008! So i only want to change the old leather with heating against a new leather with foam and heating! Already have it,
    Thanks in advanvce.

    I just replaced seats like you, and i have seatbealts and airbag warning codes, what can i do to trun them off and how u sloved that problem?

      I disconnected the battery and didnt had these codes. If you dont have diagnostic tool then you can try to disconnect battery, connect plus and minus of the car (Not battery) for about 30 min with lights on. This should drain remaining power and reset all components. But you also can have faulty seat belt clamp, in this case you will need to swap seat belt clamp that is on the side of your seat with the old one that you had on your old seats. I hope that this will help.

    Thanks for the vid, it's got me halfway
    I'm swapping standard pre lci seats to sports lci seats. So same method as you-searbelt clamp on old but not on new.
    I have the same large connector on both seats, but both have a second connector that doesn't match? Can I just soulder these? Both have 2 wires
    I also can't find the green connector for the seatbelt clamp?
    Also my new seats had another piece of metal riveted where the seatbelt clamp should go so I've just swapped the whole outside rail
    Thanks in advance

      Edit: I removed the green plug from my old harness's. After undoing the tape, the green plug is connecting to the single extra plug on my old harness. This solves the problem of the seatbelt clamp.
      This just leaves the extra connector on my new seats. I'm unsure of what this does and if it's needed.

      Ha, so funny we’re here at the same time. There’s a plastic cover over the connectors.

      It’s underneath the thigh support

    I’ve bought seats with the green connector on but my original seats do not have it. Will it throw a code if not connected?

      If they are from same type of car like LCI or pre LCI then they should be working, you just will miss feature that they were giving. It will not work if seats are from LCI and you want to use then with Pre-LCI car. Then you will get airbag errors

      Yeah. LCI to LCI but my existing seats don’t have that piece extra you have on your seatbelt where it bolts to the chair

    I can’t move my seat back or forward. What mechanism is that?

    • @AndyN1
      @AndyN1  2 года назад

      It is the long handle, first on the side of the seat.

      I tried the handle and seat is stuck . What mechanism under the seat needs fixing?

      Same here you get it fixed ?

    • @Lomlomlom
      @Lomlomlom Год назад

      @@winbig1 it's the thin metal bar underneath. It has a white plastic connected that slots into another hole. It's the same on both sides controled by a brake cable.
