22:55 “…how long can you hold on to a lamb?” Well, I’m thinking there’s a physiological explanation for this answer. But, I can tell you, as a mom who was in waiting for her baby, you don’t want to wait any longer than you have to wait, especially when your newborn is almost 11 pounds ( as in my case). That weight presses on your internal organs and skeletal structure. And, after giving birth, you’re exhausted, a sigh of relief that waiting time is over, and in a bit of shock. I’m amazed that sheep get up faster than I could have ever done. Now, I’m not a vet, nor an experienced sheep owner, but I did take medical courses in college. 🤓

Sounds like your birth was like mine. Both my boys were close to 11 pounds and both were late! It is very easy to empathize with these ewes!🥰

I watch your show I can tell the way you raise your sheep and have less problems that your are season and know the art of raising sheep’s.. others sheep farmers can learn a lot just watching you.. proof is in the pudding.. keep doing a great job.. love what the both of you do for your sheep.. one ❤️

Good afternoon Arnie and Lynn. Hi Chewy. Look t those gorgeous Suffolk lambs. I did wonder about the noses The pink tip and then the black tip. Hmmm. Arnie I hear Mister talking to you. Those feeders are perfect. Now luxury suites all around. Awesome job. When the cops aren’t eating a donut they catch the speeders 😂😂😂😂😂. Never knew you clocked the lamb races. Quite interesting. That is pretty cute watching the grown sheep run. Arnie loves joking I see. Love it. That ram lamb is a beauty. He curled his lip like they do when they are big boys. I like that you talk to them. That is half the fun. I talk to my dog and cat like they are people. Kasanova had him a good looking son. I am amazed at how fast those wet lamb ears stand up. Boy what a night on the farm. Thanks for another great lambing video. So far how many lambs have been born? Haven’t seen too many triplets which is good for the Ewes because having more than two lambs is harder to take care of and most of the triplets will become bottle babies. Love watching the little lambs in the cover-alls chasing after each other and them jumping in the air is so darn cute. Thanks Arnie for the advice you have been giving on lambing it helps some to understand the differences in the sheep breed. 🐑❤️🐏
We haven't counted lambs yet. We usually wait until lambing is done. Very few triplets luckily and quite a few singles because we had a large number of first-timers this season. Will let everyone know when we're done 🙂
Have you had any lambs pass away or stillborn?
We had tangled triplets that died, one deformed lamb, and one got sat on. I think that's it so far@@ckstephens52
So sorry to hear this. So sad when the little lambs don’t make it. Makes my heart hurt when an animal dies 💔❤️🩹 just lost our fur baby 12-23. She was only 6 but got really sick and didn’t make it. So my hubby got us a new fur baby that needed a good home. She is so precious. ☺️

Arnie all animals know exactly what you are saying to them so they are not so stupid as people think they are all i used to be a shepherd working amongst sheep and I loved it always

Thank you. Our personalities may take getting used to because we do tend to like joking around. With Arnie, you really have to watch what he says 😆 That was a stuffed animal in the feeder, the one little Mister used to lie with when he was on his own. Thanks for joining us on our channel. How many do you keep for breeding
Depends on the year. Any we don't keep as breeders for ourselves, are sold to other farms as breeding stock
