Nah nothing tops Live and Let Die. Such a great song that McCartney still plays it at every live gig, and it's had significant covers like the guns and Roses cover. I don't think any other bond song has had that, had some many people playing it if they wrote it and covering it if they didn't. I've seen so so so many gigs where they play Live and Let Die. Probably cos I live in Liverpool, so everyone likes playing the solo stuff by the beatles, as well as actual beatles songs. I've even seen fantastic acoustic guitar covers of it. Just a single acoustic guitar and a player/singer playing the guitar. No accompaniments. I love that, how people can really be creative and inventive in trying to solve the puzzle, solve the puzzle of how to play such a complex song as Live and Let Die with just an acoustic guitar, playing every part, the whole orchestra, the band, the drummer too because acoustic guitars are percussion instruments as well as stringed instruments and so you can do a beat by using the technique of palm muting the top 3 or 4 strings while hitting it with your hand and pick at the same time to make a percussion sound that has no pitch, no note, so it always works with every song in every key. I don't know if that technique has a name, I rarely see people doing it. I came up with it myself organically through just messing around every day with an acoustic for years, but I assume I wasn't even close to the first person who came up with it. It's like how calculus was invented by two people at the same time, both having no idea about the other.
Yes!! A few years ago we had on german radio sr3 a contest for the best bond song, and Tina's "golden eye" got in fight with Adeles "skyfall" for the first place and "golden eye" won! Cool! Also my favorite bond song!!
