Truth social was doomed to fail from the start, and anyone that invested in it deserves to lose their money.
What is worst, Trumpster is fracking over the very same people that believe in him. This has got to be the most ironic outcome of this pathetic drama. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his zealot turns around and fracks him after waking up from their stupor. I don't even get annoyed anymore when I see them, I just pity them.

You don’t buy stock when shorting.
When shorting, you borrow someone’s else stock, sell it, and then later buy back the stock (at a hopefully lower price) and return to the original owner.

That being said, lenders can still look at his overall balance sheet and say: "ya, this stock eill probably be worth a few hundred million by the time the lovkup period is over", and lend anyway.

To clarify, you mean seek a loan from the company using his shares as collateral. That stops him taking cash out of the company and pissing off without paying his debts.. The company board knows who he is..

I'm no Trump fan, but you talk about how he inflates the value of things criminally... all while reporting on a story about stock prices moving for no reason and being inflated or falling huge sums of money based on what the market feels its worth. Yet never talk about how this is exactly what can happen with all stocks and real estate, and should have questioned the legality of the charges against him. Odd.
The scale is completely different.
As the video above showed, the fundamentals of TS are completely divorced from the stock price, even compared to other social media companies. While it's true the price of stocks tends to overvalue companies (which ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy), the only reasons to bet on DJT are unrelated to the company itself, and rather the potential of Trump becoming President again.
No idea why you're bringing up the charges against him though. Those have been working through the system for years, and part of the reason they took this long is precisely because of Trump doing everything in his power to stall them.
The system is so broken. So irreparably, comically broken.

Remember clicking off the video early does more than any thumbs count. Most people understand exactly what it was, i can tell by the 1 minute mark that won't be the focus here. Most investors didn't want to become Belarus expecting the stock to do what every modern IPO does.

Again, as I understand it he has an opportunity to get more stock that isn't quarantined if stock stays above 18.50 over the next 10 days. So investors be damned- I hope it continues to tank.

@@adamh1228 shorting costs nothing if it works. The hedge funds who short don't care about how "expensive" it is to do so. They use leverage or build up FTDs to do it - they're not playing by the same rules as mere mortals who take short positions. It only costs if they're forced to exit because the thesis went against them completely.

To be fair a truth social user is more valuable. All of these are citizens of developed countries(or country in this case) with disposable income and hold the content on the platform in high regard.
Objectively speaking that's a monetization gold mine on the level of taylor swift. Still not 1000 dollar but through right means i can value to be about 500 dollar if you are putting reddit at 148 which seems high.

Reddit has very poor advertisement because of its structure and it has some people from developing countries and the EU and other places. Truth social is almost 100% Republican, Republicans have a higher median wage and net worth than democrats, and Truth Social looks more like Facebook than reddit so it can monetised. 1000 dollars is fair for truth social
