I'm not aware of any addition of lefties at this point. Left hand retrieve reels are really something we see from domestic suppliers like Avet and Accurate. In Asia, kids are converted in school - there are no lefty reels in that market so manufacturers from that part of the world typically don't recognize a need.
12 bucks! It even says 12 on the reel Mark lol. I'm devoid of a compact lever drag. This may be a way to go. Just bought an avet lx g2 from your online stoe, so I need to save some of my bucks for later. Excellent vid as always
Many thanks. So many things I failed to bring up on the Tessoro...Helical cut gears being a big omision on my part. Heck, I'm not a gear head, I just fish 'em.
CharkBaitUSA I think daiwa is pretty much putting helical cut gears into all of their better pieces now. I think even the BG which is pretty much a value reel has helical cut as well. Now is helical cut gears the same thing as what they call digigear? Every company now seems to have a proprietary name for their gear formula
I do not support shimano products, have not since 2005 and have no intention of doing so based upon personal objections over marketing practices which I feel go against a competitive free market (i.e. price fixing, antitrust considerations). So, I can not provide a hands on comparison. You can yourself by noting the spool capacity of both reels and their weight.
Good idea and should be done now that we have all three sizes available. Honestly, Alan Hawk did a wonderful technical review of their spinners, though I don't think he got his hands on the 10000. Might check for his work, I do have it linked on our relevant page for that series of reels. Thanks for your comment.
@@CharkBaitUSA How do these compare to the Shimano TrindadA? As far as casting, durability and smoothness at this price point. Just want more information so I make the right purchase. Thanks love the video
@@mychalcummings4140 - I'm not a fan of the bike maker, do not care for their anti-competitive practices in the market (i.e. price fixing). So, understand first that I have a bias against the firm and am likely the only retailer with the 'nads not to offer their products nor allow them to profit thru my efforts. Having provided this caveat, let me back it up just a bit. Okuma offers a 3 year warranty on the Tesoro while shimano offers 1 year support. That says something off the top. The Tesoro makes better use of space, is a much more compact and light design, less plastic involved with the reel's construction. Drags are better on the Okuma piece, more modern design. Accurate followed, offering some of the design enhancements in terms of machining, drawing down the reels weight. So, I would suggest both Accurate and Okuma (Tern & Tesoro) are more modern and capable designs. Accurate offering a 2 year warranty, Okuma 3 and the bike maker 1. I think that points to the relative long term reliability of the reels with use.
I haven't heard of any plans for that up to this point. With demand, they certainly could, but Okuma produces few reels in lefty form. Given short supplies of the Tesoro models after introduction, doubtful. ICAST comes in July, so perhaps they'll surprise us.
Great video, thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you for visiting our Channel.
Great video! I have 2 Tesoros, and my last name happens to be Tesoro 🙂 I work in Newport Beach. I'll swing by your shop sometime soon!
I use the 12's for shore casting.
May I know will okuma come up with left hand version? Thanks

I'll try to find out more, it's my thinking that these are of much different design, will need to do some homework...
