Namco doesnt take paul serious anymore , same with law. That's why they are comedic rivals. No way they make him rival with the anime edgelord main villain , best they can do is bryan. They took away his spotlight against ogre in that netflix show.
That would make all the tekken fans way too happy for the devs, they don’t want to see us happy. The story mode has been in decline for so long, when Paul used to run the story mode and be a top rival in it they used to be so good :(

@@KazuyaKai923won’t lie, while Paul definitely got a Karen hairstyle now lol; please remember Paul is an OG and one of the strongest lore wise. He literally fought Kazuya to a draw they should at least give him a more serious storyline he deserves more respect

"Comprehensive fighting style based on Judo" his style is basically an MMA foundation mixed with Karate and Bajiquan. I'm not mad about the style, I'm mad that Paul's style is called this.
Edit: I've been recently graced with the gift of knowledge and now know the name of Paul's style is quite accurate. In other words, my comment can now be ignored. May your days be great
In MMA, fighters usually have a "base". It's the martial they started with or are most comfortable with and their fighting style represents this. Alex Pereira/Adesanya have a kickboxing base, Jon Jones wrestling, Charles Oliveira BJJ, Ronday Rousey Judo etc.
Essentially, every character does "Mixed Martial Arts" in Tekken, sometimes you can clearly identify a certain base. In Paul's case, it is undeniably Judo. I am by no means a Judo expert but I identified 8 Throws that are clearly done 1:1 like in Judo. (Ippon Seoi Nage, o-soto-gari, o-soto-guruma, soto-makikomi, tomoe-nage, morote-gari, hadaka-jime, juji-gatame) And then with some fantasy you see throws that are inspired by judo moves, like a "reverse" o-goshi, ura nage, kosoto-gari.
And in general some moves are very much Judo-like.
So I have to disagree, really fitting name. He obviously does MMA (like any other character without weapons i.g) but his fighting style is very much influenced by his Judo background.

"hadouken" 2 seems to be strange, many times I execute forward 2 instead, and in log the down/diag/forward is ok.
