An old pal of mine bought a Softail with a B engine. So far, he's logged a trip from the Midwest to CA with NO problems. He loves that thing. Be safe, Bear and crew!

Very nice sound coming out of Bear's bike. 😮 ❤ I was thinking about when I got my license - Took test on Suzuki Katana. One part of the test I was supposed to accelerate toward a wall and do a hard stop, but I was nervous so it didn't go well. I accelerate, but way too much. I skidded the bike and almost went over the bars. Not to mention the engine was pegged out while I was hanging over the bars. However the guy who was testing me gave me a do over, but I thought for sure I had failed at that moment.😅
Man… I missed the Johnny Rebs BBQ that was down the street from Steel Craft on Bellflower. Bo’s Cigar lounge is pretty cool. Need to hit it up next time I’m in town. I hear the Chris & Pitts have a good blooming onion. 😆
The sound and power curves are primarily an effect of cam choice. Inquiring minds want to know, which Andrew's Cam is it ? If they didn't write it on the repair sheet call them back and ask. At some point in the future you are going to need that info and asking now is easier than pulling the cam cover later just to check.

It's definitely upgraded, but it was definitely preventable. I don't know what he paid to have it don't but if he did proper maintenance and checked things regularly it wouldn't have had to cost as much. I'm sure it is night and day difference and performs allt better. Will last a long time bow that the stock junk is out now it's something that's actually reliable for him.
@Unaffiliated it's clear you don't understand or understand the twincam motor for that matter. And if I recall correctly it was taken to a shop to get an awful sound coming from the motor diagnosed. Most don't need an oil pump replaced if there was nothing bad that went through the motor. Look back at videos and comments I seen this coming a long time ago and kept mentioning it to you, but it's clear you all know more than the rest. Just like you said the cam was replaced, it's in the name twin cam there are 2 cams not just one.i have only had 5 of them I guess I don't know what im.talking about though.

The noise that was coming from his bike on ep 400 was the sound of the starter sticking. That noise is what prompted him to finally take the bike in for the overhaul that you had be suggesting for the past year or so on each video of his bike. We actually owe it to you for putting us on game about the twin cam, which we truly appreciate 🙏🏽

You have to understand though that this bike is not ridden daily and does not accumulate much miles on a daily basis, so yes, replacing the cam chain tensioner was not on the priority list. With that being said, once I needed a diagnosis on what the sound was, what was suggested was either the starter sticking or the cam chain tensioner going bad. I made the decision to have Lifestyle take it to have the starter and tensioner replaced (it didnt even need replacing, it was just fine and looks like previous owner already changed it before I originally purchased the bike). Upon Lifestyle changing out the tensioner, they inspected the cams and suggested replacing them since some of the lobes started showing some pitting. So the decision was made to upgrade to the Andrews #26 cam set and hydraulic chain cam kit. Oil pump wasn’t replaced, just the o rings for the oil pump. In the end, yes, I paid the tax to have the bike worked on at a shop. But no regrets and much learned.

His bike was reliable and working fine before bringing it to the shop, it was his decision as preventative maintenance to get the work done.
