On the topic of the quick start guide being inside the box telling you how to remove it from the box, consider that most quick start guides are available online and many people will be reading them while they anxiously await receipt of their printer.
Great video there! Joe! Took 6 mins into the video, finally saw the printer. 12mins into the video, finally see the insides of the printer. 21 mins into the video, nothing printed.
At 7:50: "Hey guys... it's not the easiest thing filming a black printer." I absolutely lost it, because I don't know how real that statement is. I ordered a Prusa i3 clone off eBay a week or so ago, and the instructions are in the form of video here on RUclips (search "Anet A8 assembly", and you should find it). All the acrylic parts are plastic, and they're filmed in absolutely terrible lighting with crazy time skips and all sorts of wobble cam. Again, absolutely lost it. Love your stuff!
Holy crap! That's a huge printer. The build volume almost looks big enough to print a statue of one of you kids, sitting, in a 1:1 scale. Looking forward to see this beat in action. \m/ ';..;' \m/
Future video suggestion. Being new to 3d printing it would be great to see something on 3d printer accessories or addons. I know you have mentioned different nozzles and plates already.
That looks an awesome printer, can't wait to see the rest of it. You could do with more lighting, your garage is a bit dark. Happy birthday Joel. #Highfive
I'm looking forward to seeing how you sort this out. A few of my friends have Ultimaker 2's and needed a bigger print volume and went with this make/model. Each seemed to have some significant issues getting them setup and working reliably.
Obviously the first print should be that same Low-Poly Pikachu model printed at max size with 0% infill to "avoid wasting plastic", again. :) But seriously, please print a giant Pikachu.
Happy birthday, Joel! Double #highfive as a birthday gift... That is a beautiful printer! Waaay out of my price range, though... Really looking forward to seeing how it performs.
I ordered Cubicon Single ! yesterday night at 1am lol I was bored, ok I will wait for your full review on this might buy it the next time I am bored lol
Happy Birthday Joel! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Too bad they forgot the sliced items on the usb drive. The printer looks really awesome though. Can't wait to see your test print!
1, Happy birthday & high five. 2, looking forward to evaluation. 3, how does it compare to gcreate 1.5xt+(price,build volume, & print quality). 4, kids love boxes. 5, get some rest, good video.
Oh the things I could build with that printer.... How are you liking your LED lights?, oh and your wife is awesome!!, I'd be a dead man if I woke my wife up to to move a printer.. :-)
Happy Birthday Joel ( & High Five ) Do you know if the printer now comes stock with the v2 hot end/s ? They apparently can deal with different filaments better.
I know this is their large model, but their mid sized one looks to be quite comparable to the ultimaker 2+ in price. Would like your input on how this compares to the ultimaker once you get it all going. This printer really looks awesome. Thanks for the video!
Did you not get some tubing to run from the filament feed tubes to the printhead. I got some with my N2 Dual and they help to decrease the angle at which the filament enter ls the printhead.
Hey Joel I would be curious to see the same big tall print on the n2 + and then same model to compare on the gmax a little battle of the tall printers you might say! HIGH FIVE!
The loose filament looks weird on top of the printer, feels like it is missing PTFE guide tubes. Is it actively heated build chamber? Looks awesome for ABS. Anyway, happy birthday and #highfive.
simply use the binder clips included in the box for the build plate, it was weird for me also. no way to slide those clips on the side. i put two on the front and it works fine. guess the other clips are just spares...
Well, wouldn't the skipping of steps come from the lack of a long Bowden tube? I know it's a direct-drive, but there looks to be lots of drag at the tube connectors. Really nice prntr! Me want!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤓🤓😈
Have one. I really really like it, but either a bondtech extruder upgrade or an E3D Titan extruder upgrade is king. Shave 500-600 grams of the print head, and more reliable printing (no filament grinding). Made a Titan adapter for this printer myself: www.thingiverse.com/thing:1678782
+steve c DUDE! I know. I tried though. it's working now and it's great. I'll have a follow up video. I've posted some photos to Twitter as well. I honestly wasn't trying to be misleading. Like I said, follow up will be better. Promise.
Thanks Joel! Happy Birthday!

Wow. The first shot of you standing next to that box really gives some nice perspective as to the size of the printer.
that touch screen is really nice
Nice b-day present from Raise3D!
i have never see someone take so long to open a box nice way to drag out the video !
Ha ha....I agree...I had to fast-forward too.
+Paul's Projects so did I! no joke. hahahah.
Humor is the best medicine...happy birthday!
Foreplay is an important element ---- even for a 3D Printing Nerd.
YES! Nice to see you're a man of your word and you got around to getting the N2+. Thanks a ton :D
I am proud to have supported that kickstarter! I have the N1
I have an N2 Plus as well... love the machine. can't beat the size and features for the price.
Happy Birthday Joel :)
Looking forward to seeing this giant machine print.
Happy Birthday Joel. Hope you have a nice day :-)
Happy Birthday Joel ( & High Five ) .. Can't wait for the next video of this machine :)
Have a fantastic birthday Joel! I'll keep an eye out for the next vid with actual printing!
Cool! I have been listening to a 3D printing podcast recently, and they talked about this printer. The podcast is called 3D printing today.
Nice video joel. Very impressive printer... Happy birthday
Great video there! Joe! Took 6 mins into the video, finally saw the printer. 12mins into the video, finally see the insides of the printer. 21 mins into the video, nothing printed.

Happy birthday!!!
The bigger the box, the better (or more fun?) the unboxing. Also, happy birthday!
Holy crap! That's a huge printer. The build volume almost looks big enough to print a statue of one of you kids, sitting, in a 1:1 scale. Looking forward to see this beat in action. \m/ ';..;' \m/

Holy Smokes...thats a Giant Printer.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you sort this out. A few of my friends have Ultimaker 2's and needed a bigger print volume and went with this make/model. Each seemed to have some significant issues getting them setup and working reliably.

A belated happy birthday mate.

+Andrew Fearn dude, check my Twitter ;)
#highfive The second I saw yellow filament, it knew it had to be. Can't wait to see a sweet timelapse of the megachu :)
Awesome video. Happy birthday, Joel :) #HighFive
Happy birthday, Joel! Double #highfive as a birthday gift...
That is a beautiful printer! Waaay out of my price range, though... Really looking forward to seeing how it performs.
Dont forget the PTFE tubing to keep the filament from kinking.
I ordered Cubicon Single ! yesterday night at 1am lol
I was bored, ok I will wait for your full review on this might buy it the next time I am bored lol
to comment on the "this is a big box" - even your Mum should already told you. Its not about the size, it's about the technique ;-)
Happy Birthday - five .... :)
Big Display for a big Printer :)
Incoming enormous Seattle Needle replica?
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Joel #HighFive
Happy birthday
Happy birthday!
RIP gmax why worry about the clip damaging the build tak in an area that is going to be covered by the clip itself?
Happy Birthday Joel! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Too bad they forgot the sliced items on the usb drive. The printer looks really awesome though. Can't wait to see your test print!
HEy Joel " HAPPY BIRTHDAY KING OF NERDS"
HI FIVE
Nice looking machine for sure. Happy Birthday! 🍻🎁😎👍 High Five!
Happy Birthday :)
1, Happy birthday & high five. 2, looking forward to evaluation. 3, how does it compare to gcreate 1.5xt+(price,build volume, & print quality). 4, kids love boxes. 5, get some rest, good video.
Happy Brithday and High five!
happy birthday!
Oh the things I could build with that printer.... How are you liking your LED lights?, oh and your wife is awesome!!, I'd be a dead man if I woke my wife up to to move a printer.. :-)
Happy Belated Birthday!
Happy Birthday Joel ( & High Five )
Do you know if the printer now comes stock with the v2 hot end/s ? They apparently can deal with different filaments better.
since the v2 came out all their machines now come with it
Happy Birthday. Great Video. #High Five
I know this is their large model, but their mid sized one looks to be quite comparable to the ultimaker 2+ in price. Would like your input on how this compares to the ultimaker once you get it all going. This printer really looks awesome. Thanks for the video!
happy birthday Joel. HIGH 5

Hey Joel, Birthday Hi Five!
Good video, looks a great printer but you seriously need a studio or dedicated filming space man!
Can this printer be tilted while bringing it Down a few stairs or does it need to remain upright idk how delicate it is
happy belated birthday
Thank you! I'm celebrating all month ;)
happy birthday
waiting on your review then if good will place a order for 1
Hey Joel I would be curious to see the same big tall print on the n2 + and then same model to compare on the gmax
a little battle of the tall printers you might say!
HIGH FIVE!
The loose filament looks weird on top of the printer, feels like it is missing PTFE guide tubes. Is it actively heated build chamber? Looks awesome for ABS. Anyway, happy birthday and #highfive.
So how long did it take you to get it up and ready to print in real time?
Hmm Raise3D vs Cubicon? Ok, ignoring size, features seem similar to Raise N1, so should be a fairly good comparison for smaller prints..
and a very happy birthday to you #highbirthdayfive
simply use the binder clips included in the box for the build plate, it was weird for me also. no way to slide those clips on the side. i put two on the front and it works fine. guess the other clips are just spares...
Same. I always thought the clips Joel attempted to use were spares for the back retainer clips.
How funny would that be if you found a re-branded Fabrikator Mini in that big ass box?!
Hahahahaha! Oh man. I have the Fab Mini as well, I should do this just for fun :)
Happy Birthday and #HighFive
Does it really not have auto-level?
first time commenting, but happy birthday and highfive!
+Satashi26 Wow, thank you! and #ReturnFive
Well, wouldn't the skipping of steps come from the lack of a long Bowden tube? I know it's a direct-drive, but there looks to be lots of drag at the tube connectors.
Really nice prntr! Me want!!! 🤑🤑🤑🤓🤓😈
5:50 if you want to safe some time
Do you get to keep this printer?
happy burthday
Happy bday High five
my mind was in the gutter the whole time he was talking about straps
Joel, you need a bigger house!!!
That is a big printer have you done laser 3D printer
Also, the the stepper current might be set a bit low. Much good information on the forums. forum.raise3d.com
dual extruder printing, can you still do 2 color prints with the titan up-grade?
+Joe Archuleta not currently with the Titan, as there is only one on there. But the Bondtech solution can (with a Bowden on the second hotend)
Do you have Two birthday's the way you say it #, just kidding Happy Birthday
we are the same height, wear the same shorts (jc penney, right? ) and we are both nerds. If you are also a teacher, then we are twins.
Hahahahahah. I'm NOT a teacher, but, I like to help kids? Does that count?
it is a $5,379.90 printer wow that to much for me i can buy a cheep car with that money
it is 3500 $ US... where do you take that price from? is it in an other currency?
or 3300 for the single extruder, seriously, where the hell does that number come from?
www.raise3d.com/
I mean the number of $5,379.90
Yeah its 3300 single and 3500 dual, plus a hefty $400 shipping fee but I can see why from this video!
Calling this video Unboxing and First Use is pretty misleading since it never worked!
+steve c DUDE! I know. I tried though. it's working now and it's great. I'll have a follow up video. I've posted some photos to Twitter as well. I honestly wasn't trying to be misleading. Like I said, follow up will be better. Promise.
Жопа не треснет?
Yes its not that great of a printer for the price.
