The 6 months doesn’t mean it’s gone bad necessarily, it just means it the time period that the manufacturer can guarantee its good. I don’t see the point getting rid of a product when you’ve had it for 6 months unless it’s not performing well anymore.
Omg finally somenoe said it!!!!! Like if a product doesn't change its color, texture or smell and if it doesn't cause you any allergier, you don't have to get rid of it!!
Right, it’s like a food expiry dates, they are mostly for liability purposes. But we all know some foods can last well past their expiry date, as long as we keep them in good and hygienic conditions. Powders last forever, creams not so much. It also depends on how sterile you keep them; using clean brushes to dip into product, not applying directly to the skin, air tight lids, etc. (I’m a biologist so I use a lot of sterile technique even with my own personal makeup! I want them to last, at least until I get enough use out of them!)
It might not look nasty, but the makeup used on the eye area specifically should be thrown out more often. If not, be sure to clean it really well with alcohol often.
Really nice to see a large collection with items that have seen a lot of use! I feel like a lot of the beauty youtubers' makeup collections I see have tons of barely used products. Great declutter, very satisfying!
I am declutter junkie and watch these videos whole day long. I want to thank you for the color correction and the overall quality of this video, top notch!
I’ve got an excessive amount of makeup and skincare for one person and it’s so overwhelming but I can’t bring myself to downsize because I worked so hard for it lol!
Yes good point! My local Mac here in Norway doesn't do the Back to Mac program though (the other one is 5 hours awayamd I'm not sure if they do it) ☹️ I have occasionally taken empty lipstick tubes with me when I travel 😅 But that will be a while until I can do now anyways. Otherwise I'd love the free makeup 😁💄
Thank you ☺️❣️ I have only used a few (I think 5 or 6?) of their skin care products, but I found them to be quite nice. Of course it will vary drastically depending on your skin and so on. But I didn't repurchase most of them because I moved and they are not as easily available here and I have other products I like more ☺️ BUT the face mask I have bought several of, and I have used it on lots of models (with different skin types) for photoshoots. Sometimes I would apply three layers and let each one sink in completely before applying the next. I found it really plumped up the skin. It is fantastic for really dehydrated skin. I need to stock up next time I order Nars 😃
That is a really big collection. I didn't knew that a exist all those brushes just for makeup. Thank you for sharing your beauty and collection in this vid
I think my Makeup Forever stick is on it's last legs too. I want to try the Kevin AuCoin liquid highlighter. I think I have to look at my Groundwork too. I have my eye on the Viseart eyeshadow palette. Do you think it's work it ? Great brushes. Looks like a great collection, well organized 👍🏻
How do you like the MUFE stick? I never really loved it 😩 Ahhh 100% get the Kevyn Aucoin highlighter, it is so incredible, it gives me that "I just left the spa" glow 😁😍 And for the Viseart. Well. I like it OK, but I was a little let down after all the hype. It's really pigmented and blends well, but I just feel like it's a touch dry? I also tend to get a bit of kickback or fallout with it. It's just nothing like the creamy dream that are Natasha Denona eyeshadows, I much prefer that soft texture. I probably won't repurchase Viseart 🙈 But I am extremely picky 😂
Omg I have the ct foundation and have used it a handful amount of times. I have it with my rose gold decor right now lol it’s and it’s sooo full coverage
I’ve just done the same thing, and I still have more to go! 😩 The struggle. 🤦🏾♀️ But why do I also have a small and big unused Smashbox Photofinish Primer? LOL. Great video. ❤️
Oh my gosh, yes, it's a surprisingly exhausting task! It took me forever 🙈 Hope you get through your collection soon ❤️ And I LOL'd at you having two Smashbox primers as well, what a coincidence 😄 Thanks 🤗

Oh no, really? I was always told it was for hygiene reasons, I feel so tricked now 😔

I actually appreciate you discarding old/expired makeup...especially as a makeup artist so thank you!
Thank you, lovely! Safety & hygiene first, always! 😊

Good work, good luck with the vanity purchase. I love decluttering too and do it often. What is your favourite brand of makeup brushes?
I like to stick pretty close to the expiration date. :)
