I was there that night! It was a phenomenal experience. I absolutely love Utada and her originality and beautiful voice. She’s so naturally talented. Lots of the audience members and I talked about Kingdom Hearts when the concert was over! Haha ♥️
@@ryugaroxas Yes I do come back to this performance often, It’ll always be a cherished memory in my heart. I come back to it every now and then to relive that moment ❤️
This song always reminds me so much of what I was used to be in my childhood, which was precious and nostalgic. I will listen to this song for the rest of my life with my wife, who never lets me go.
She can sing it higher but you can tell she's pushing it, and has polished it some compared to earlier in the 2000's. Fantastic live rendition here, especially with the energy of having to perform live, many artists struggle to not speed through their songs on tour since they're so amped up.
@@clarahan. Still, not all foreigners are upkeeping both their mother languages to such a crystalline accent, she's quite stunning doing so. But it's her job, so it's understandable, I wasn't really asking for a reason, just amazed by the scene :)
Yeah she was raised in the U.S. But with both her parents speaking fluent Japanese (both parents are singers too). But she has been criticized for her pronunciation in Japanese before even though her Japanese is perfectly understandable. It's kind of like how different prefectures have different accents. She has her own accent while speaking Japanese because of learning at home.
I never played any of the Kingdom Hearts games but I remember growing up that's one of those songs of hers like that one which show up in a commercial then it just reminds me of childhood pretty much it
If you can catch it on sale I recommend them man. I fell off of KH but I'll never forget the mark it left on my childhood. I bought the most recent one just for the nostalgia lol
Oh man, it's a crime nobody answered you. Kingdom Hearts was the defining gaming experience for countless 90's and early 2000's kids. It was insanely heart-wrenching, the story arch was wild (thanks to it's Final Fantasy colab) The combat and overall gameplay was amazing and it's somewhat recent remasters still show that it can hold up. Although depending on your age, it may be difficult to jump into as an adult because of it's Disney characters. With that being said, as a 33 year old man, who played the first game about 20 years ago, this game series has a true place in my heart. Nothing can match it's heart and originality. 10/10 for the first two games.
@@duhneez2068 That's fine, as long as they don't demand I memorize a special pronoun just for them, or make me put in extra effort trying to remember. If you make yourself look like a woman, I'll call you 'she,' if you don't, or you make up some 'xe' or 'blee' or something new, I ain't gonna remember that, and you should not expect me to make an effort to, since I don't have to make such an effort for anyone else! It's a problem not just practicality, but of unearned extra respect.
holy shit she sounds better live than the original record
stop lying she sounds exhausted lmao

This was in 2010 and you still come back to it ?? Massive props to you
where was this concert?
You never be able to see Utada live in a smaller and intimate venue like this in Japan.
@@BobSayG Unfortunately I haven’t, since I’ve never been to Japan, but oh my is it a dream of mine one day!!! Beautiful country!

Still get shivers like when I first brought home Kingdom Hearts. Brings back so many memories. Japan is awesome!
『光』に英語バージョンがあると知って見に来ました。
曲調も少し違ってて驚きました。歌詞も日本語の直訳ではなく寧ろ真反対で、興味深いです。
Love the crowd singing every word with her. This performance is so good
Beautiful singer as always and I got the good goosebumps hearing this oh my god
Goddess! Simple and clear!
Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
That guy with the red hair is my spirit animal
She's amazing live
Utada Hikaru has a flawless english accent, it's absolutely mesmerizing how she switches languages like this :)
shes japanese american.
Where was this at?
they're American, but was raised in both Japan and the US, and obviously they have japanese ascendency

Fine a ms fine wine
I will bet you that all those people in the audience have played Kingdom Hearts.
Pretty sure lol
I really wish i played kingdom hearts in my childhood
My little sister is big fan of KH OST and songs by watching me play when we were kids. She hates video game tho. Weird lil sis lol.
@@Fancy_PotHead let me have her
Ones watching this video too 😭😭😭💀💀💀💀
Simply amazing
Simple&cream
One thousandth like! 😁
I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!!!!
Update just started playing this game
Great!!! You will love It!!
♥
Im the guy with the black hair
Everyone in the concert has played Kingdom Hearts
Here in my places, not all people know Kingdom Hearts. Not even any new friends I've made recently. So I can only fangirling alone.
That high note is very hard to hit 2:50
Interesting looking fans. 😮
Should I play this game when I’m able
Yes baby love and also please play 2, it's wonderful
And play the aqua version too!
Her English is good for singing
She was born in NYC and spent most of her childhood between America and Japan.
ミラクルヒカルみたいになってる
in this video, Her hairstyle resembles Yuna a lot (just my opinion) ^__^7
I see that!

Dumb question, What does Simple and Clean mean?
I think it means uncomplicated, happy.

Recently Hikaru Utada came out as non binary and uses they/them pronouns!
But i see a "she" 🤣
