I have bosch serie 4 varioperfect, but another model. The display is in the middle, the knob is in the right. I believe it is "older". I'm always worried about laundry weight. Kg shown are for dry clothes? I hope so, but i'm always less than that, on the other hand when wet they will definitely go too high.
Best ones I reckon. I've got a Vespa with an old style analogue dashboard with dials, the new ones are all grey digital and just horrible. And I drive a newish Merc S Class sometimes and you need a degree in computing just to turn the heaters on and what vents you want it out of. Mad. In my Van its a small dial 1-4 for power, one for heat, and one for dashboard, body or feet, so simple and easy to use. Sometimes the basic things are the best !
Was getting a red circle with a padlock sign on it. Worked out that this means "door not closing". A bit of gentle inward pressure on the door, and the machine is working again
You mean like what the video shows at 4:59? I have that icon after I accidentally touched the display as it was washing clothes. Hope it’s just a coincidence and that it means the water level is too high to open the door.

I do prefer manual dials as well (especially on Microwaves!) but this isn't too bad. We generally only use a few of the same options, cotton wash and mixed load. Mixed load tends to be about an hour, cottons is much longer and we use that on a hotter setting for towels etc.
Having issues with the cirle and padlock error, if its temperature i left it overnight too cool but it's still there, if somethings caught i can't open the door to check it. The door is auto locked, not child locked? It locks whenever i run the machine.
Hi Lurgs, I have the same model of Bosch washing machine. It's suddenly refusing to spin, seems to do everything it should but the 'Add Laundry' light ends up flashing. To start another programme I have to turn it off at the mains and release the door lock using the emergency release behind the service panel.. any ideas? Tried all basic troubleshooting steps I can think of so far! It does the same thing if I put it on spin only by turning off Aqua Plus..
Not come across that before, does the drum spin with your hands if you spin it? Is the load definitely balanced or is it doing the same on a small laundry wash? How odd. Not sure I'm afraid.

Thanks Lurg this video was very informative and I learnt some new things about my Bosch washing machine. I have a problem with my Bosch serie 4. Some of the wash settings don’t work and some do. I have exactly the same model and it stopped a few minutes into a wash. Now there is nothing on the display and the machine is dead. I want to get the control knob off the front panel to check the circuit board but don't know how it comes off. Any help would be appreciated.
It's either an unbalanced load but if it keeps doing it then it's probably not level. Have a look at this video and skip to the part about adjusting the leveller feet bolts and then tightening them up, they could be loose. ruclips.net/video/L24GgdT9xq8/видео.html
Could be it's not completely level or it may have something stuck in the drum possibly, check behind all drum rubbers make sure there's not a small sock or something stuck.
The finished in time can I set in accordance to the program time for example if i have a short program i want to start in 15 or 30 minutes i have to add the waiting time to start and the program duration. Is that possible or which times i can set?
I think the delayed start is how long it is till it actually starts, so If you delayed 6hrs and did a 2hr wash it would be finished in 8hrs. If you do a delayed start don’t put liquid in dispenser drawer as it will run down into machine and could mark your clothes. Always use a pod direct in the drum or powder in drawer.
Could be a blocked Aqua filter at the back maybe, I have a video on how to check this. If washing machine is filling ok then probably nothing to worry about.
I have the problem with the circle and the lock next to it- it’s been like this for hours and it won’t let me open the door still. Tried unplugging the machine and plugging it back in and still nothing. Don’t want my clothes to get moldy

On 4:45 on this video I can’t find any thing online on how to fix this this video is the only video that even mentions what it is for ! Could you let me know what I need to do to turn this off I paused my washer and opened it and it is only slightly warm but not hot! When I did this it beeped and flashed that symbol. What would be reason of tap display on Front display panel. Installation person has said no problem with water pressure. It shows only sometimes during washing cycle. What would be the reason otherthan waterpressure...And machine is 10days old so no question of blocking of pipe.
Well the tap icon means lack of water or water pressure but if it’s new there shouldn’t be any issues. Maybe when you put washing machine on someone was in the e shower or running a tap so maybe water pressure was lower? As long as it fills correctly then shouldn’t be anything to worry about

I have this machine but the display has stopped showing the amount of kg per programme. Usually the display shows the time then the amount of kilos allowed. But mine stopped showing the kilos. Any way to reset the display or get the kilo setting to display again?

Select Rinse/Spin/Drain then deactivate Water Plus/Rinse Plus but not sure this is on the Serie 4, maybe just Serie 6 but it does say that in the manual
My bosch serie 4 varioperfact error code E 56 or ES6 I don't no just on showing that code and not working machine. It's new brought it after 3 monts happen until now like that. What should I do anyone can help? me
I’ve checked my manual and this error isn’t in there! Looking online it may have overheated or there is a computer error. Turn off at mains then try again. If it keeps happening get it serviced under warranty
At 4:45 you simply repeat what it says in the manual, which is itself uninformative about this feature! How do you know which one it is? If the water's too hot, will the machine stop itself? If it's cold water fill, how can the water be too hot anyway? 🤔

Mine kept suddenly stopping during the last few washes and now it has completely stopped and not even switching on when I wanted to do another wash, help please?! It has been owned for just over 2 years :(
Sorry to hear that. Not sure why it is doing that, if it won't even switch on then the first thing to check is the fuse in the mains plug, it's possible that has blown.
@@LurgsHowToGuides isn't that, when swittch in another work program machine load water and work normaly, think it is problem on programator or something else, service can't find problem because they put machine in test work almost empty and then works normaly
Guess it’s still working ok? I think there is a setting which reminds you to do it every certain number of cycles, maybe it’s that. I think you can change it on the settings so it doesn’t remind you

Yes weight is dry clothes. But never pack too many into the drum else clothes won’t move about and get cleaned.

Hi, may I know what does the 8 kg indicator means . This is visible in between when you are selecting different buttons
I think that's just the laundry load limit for this particular model of washing machine.
I have Bosch Classixx 6 kg capacity. I don't understand why 2.5 kg lights up on the screen when I load my washing?
As far as I'm aware it doesn't know how much you are putting in. Maybe that's the particular washing programme you are selecting.

Is it ok to use washing gel in its cap in machine? Only washing liquid is mentioned in instruction book.
Not sure what you mean? You can put detergent straight in the drum as long as you start a wash straight away else it may stain clothes

The finished in time can I set in accordance to the program time for example if i have a short program i want to start in 15 or 30 minutes i have to add the waiting time to start and the program duration. Is that possible or which times i can set?
I think the delayed start is how long it is till it actually starts, so If you delayed 6hrs and did a 2hr wash it would be finished in 8hrs. If you do a delayed start don’t put liquid in dispenser drawer as it will run down into machine and could mark your clothes. Always use a pod direct in the drum or powder in drawer.

How long the tap symbol is shown. Does it disappears in the middle of the cycle?
Yes it should disappear as that icon means low water pressure.

Could be a blocked Aqua filter at the back maybe, I have a video on how to check this. If washing machine is filling ok then probably nothing to worry about.

It’s automatic, it will take any loads from a tiny pair of socks to 8kg of laundry
@@LurgsHowToGuides when I put my wash in on the super quick 15/30 wash, it wouldn’t start and the 4kg kept flashing up, so I had to take some clothes out and it wasn’t even full 🤔

Just wait. Once it cools down the door latch will click open

On 4:45 on this video I can’t find any thing online on how to fix this this video is the only video that even mentions what it is for ! Could you let me know what I need to do to turn this off I paused my washer and opened it and it is only slightly warm but not hot! When I did this it beeped and flashed that symbol. That symbol can also mean too much water. Is it coming on all the time? Maybe try a different washing programme
1st when we on switch it shows for few seconds and then display disappear

What would be reason of tap display on Front display panel.
Installation person has said no problem with water pressure. It shows only sometimes during washing cycle.
What would be the reason otherthan waterpressure...And machine is 10days old so no question of blocking of pipe.
Well the tap icon means lack of water or water pressure but if it’s new there shouldn’t be any issues. Maybe when you put washing machine on someone was in the e shower or running a tap so maybe water pressure was lower? As long as it fills correctly then shouldn’t be anything to worry about

I think you can reset it by holding the On button for 5 seconds which may reset it, else try a power off. Good luck

Not sure I'm afraid. Sounds like a computer fault. Try unplugging at mains or see if you can reset the machine to factory settings. Good luck.

I have this machine but the display has stopped showing the amount of kg per programme. Usually the display shows the time then the amount of kilos allowed. But mine stopped showing the kilos. Any way to reset the display or get the kilo setting to display again?
You could try a power off for a few minutes to see if it resets.

Unfortunately not. Sounds like a faulty circuit board maybe. Try unplugging it at the mains to reset it.

I’ve checked my manual and this error isn’t in there! Looking online it may have overheated or there is a computer error. Turn off at mains then try again. If it keeps happening get it serviced under warranty

At 4:45 you simply repeat what it says in the manual, which is itself uninformative about this feature! How do you know which one it is? If the water's too hot, will the machine stop itself? If it's cold water fill, how can the water be too hot anyway? 🤔
If it’s on a 90c wash it could trip the light maybe. The machine should automatically sort itself out. I’ve never ever seen it lit during a cycle

Mine kept suddenly stopping during the last few washes and now it has completely stopped and not even switching on when I wanted to do another wash, help please?! It has been owned for just over 2 years :(
Sorry to hear that. Not sure why it is doing that, if it won't even switch on then the first thing to check is the fuse in the mains plug, it's possible that has blown.

Check inlet mains cold water feed. Make sure it’s not turned off.
@@LurgsHowToGuides isn't that, when swittch in another work program machine load water and work normaly, think it is problem on programator or something else, service can't find problem because they put machine in test work almost empty and then works normaly

Guess it’s still working ok? I think there is a setting which reminds you to do it every certain number of cycles, maybe it’s that. I think you can change it on the settings so it doesn’t remind you
