- I was recently commissioned by StreetLevel Photoworks to work on a community photography project in the north of Glasgow. For the past 3 months I have been documenting and working with an old men's club who meet in Springburn Park. The club meets in the historic Mosesfield House that has been a lifeline and haven for elderly and retired men since 1946. This was a unique collaboration project with the men sharing their stories, knowledge and their archive photographs to construct a short documentary film about not only about the house and their club, but also about the changes in Springburn, and their friendships.

Excellent video, well narrated. Nice to get people with first hand experience to contribute. Something else for me to look into.

Great price of history - well done too ❤
Such a wonderful little film.
My dad and grandad are from Springburn. Campsie Street. Utterly fascinating. Thank you for this video.
That was just so lovely to listen to and watch.
Beautiful and an important social document. Thank you.
Thanks for uploading this great wee film. I have lived and worked in and around Springburn since 1968. I remember being taken by our primary Teacher at Elmvale up to the House and we were all shown by the men who worked there how they took weather readings.
I vaguely remember Ronnie. I attended the cubs and scouts in the area and saw him now and again.
I am a mature student of Fine Art and I recently made some small sketches and prints of the glass house in its present state and of the Talisman
What a great social document. I'm from Springburn and tell everyone that listens about the life that flourish there inthe 60's 70's and 80's. Thank you.
I remember Ronnie from the 97th Scout Troup in Wellfield Church, my Dad is in the far right of the group picture along with his Bowls buddies.
Hello their. I was wondering if you remember the original layout of springburn castles boundry wall. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Amazing -- thank you for this.
A great record. I was up for my 2013 New Years Day walk around the splendid isolation of Springburn Park. This was a week after the demolition of the Springburn Halls. how long before the buildings in the park are just a memory?
Got my hair done for wedding in 78 and mum me took son walks all gone now son pass away mum and dad no one else been in springburn😢 thanks 🙏
My mum lived in springburn balgrayhill rd and my granda worked in the calay
My cousin and his family used to live in the Stable House behind the big house when their dad worked for the Parks Department.
fantastic film; I live 10 mins away from Mosesfield and the park, and I knew very little about the history. Incidentally, my parents also worked for Parks Dept and knew Ronnie I believe. Through their jobs, we lived in Lambhill Cemetery in a house directly next to the crematorium! :) It's long been knocked down now though.
Does anyone know the layout of springburn castles wall. (Breezes tower) boundary wall? Looking for information pror to the maisonettes been built. Thanks
