SUCH👏GOOD👏TASTE👏👏 been subscribed for a while but stilll you have amazing taste!! I just recently made a favorite movies list on my channel as well so it’s great to see someone who loves film as much as I do! Keep up the great work!
I feel like you were sponsoring the last website too but i don't even care cause seems like a cool website i did not know of. thanks for sharing.
I just watched the dark knight for the thousandth time and dude, it’s a freaking masterpiece. Everything the joker does gives me goosebumps 😵 and christian bale is my favorite batman too. Everything about that movie is perfection ❤️
I’d like to recommend to you and anyone who’s reading this comment one of my all time favorite movies, CAPTAIN FANTASTIC. please please watch it it’s soooo beautiful :’)
Great picks! Parasite was my favorite film last year & Into the Spider-Verse was my favorite film in 2018. Denis Villeneuve is one of my favorite directors as well. All of his movies are incredible. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal is my favorite actor too! I think his performance in Nightcrawler is his best, but I love his character of Detective Loki the most!
I love Jake Gyllenhaal too!!! I actually saw him in person in Chicago when he was filming The Source Code and I will never ever forget it, I was like wow he’s actually a real person!!!
Gabi Reinoehl that’s so dope!!!
I love The Labyrinth with David Bowie. Definitely one of my all-time favs!
Omg, I was going to recommend Nightcrawler, and then you mentioned it. It's so good!! Same with Gone Girl. I haven't read the book, but I actually really liked The Goldfinch movie. Ex Machina is also really good.
Two of my all time favorite movies are Garden State (plus that's my favorite sound track of all time) and The Talented Mr. Ripley.
I LOVE to see someone giving some love to The Wolf of Wall Street! I've seen it more than 5 times and people give me side eye when I tell them it's one of my favourites!
Great list of movies! I have two to recommend to you.
Mistress America written and staring Greta Gerwig and Lola Kirk. It might be hard to find, but worth it.
The other is Irrational Man with Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix.
Hope you’ll check them out!
I love all most of these movies, I saw The Dark Knight in theaters on opening day when I was 15 and it has been one of my favorites ever since, I had serious doubts about Ledger as the Joker but I was so wrong he was iconic in that role. I’ve never seen Prisoners though so I may have to finally break down a give it a watch.
All-Time Favs is SO HARD because there are so many!! Two movies I rewatch constantly are *EX MACHINA* & *DEVIL WEARS PRADA* . And I'm sure many of us "older" guys will put *THE GODFATHER 1&2* on that FAV list 😊
Yeah, I actually watched Donnie Darko because of you. It was just one of those movies I totally missed when it was first released then forgot it existed until I started watching your channel a couple of years ago. The opening had me hooked with one of my favorite 80’s songs (The Killing Moon by Echo & the Bunnymen) then the line “ go suck a fuck” made it an instant classic 🧐.
RLO El Chavo omg that’s amazing 😍🥺
Hi Gabby, I was wondering what you use to film your videos. Love your videos!
Frankie Good I use my canon G7X mark ll camera!
I SCREAAAMMED when you talked about The Shape of Water!! It's one of my favorite movies and books!!! I'm going to try to watch Parasite with my husband today :)
The book is amazing, I would suggest it since you loved the movie :)
A list of some of my favorites in no order:
Jurassic Park, King Kong (1933), Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Gojira (1954), O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Big Fish, Tremors, Koyaanisqatsi.
Movies you should check out: Big Trouble In Little China, Koyaanisqatsi, Paprika (basically Inception before Inception), It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, The Jerk, Howl From Beyond the Fog, & Ride Your Wave.
Wolf of Wall Street is definitely an all time favorite for your same reasons! Just every scene in that movie is gold and I’ll rewatch it if I want to laugh. I still love the story of how Margot got cast in the role by slapping Leo. He’s my “I can literally watch all your movies and usually love each one” actor. 😂 And La La Land is a top 5 favorite for me. The visuals are gorgeous in that film.
Hi Gabby, i recently found your channel and have been binge watching all ur videos. I loved all the movies you mentioned, except for The Shining, which i didnt watch yet. Mean girls is my all time favorite. I recommend the korean movie, “Forgotten”, spanish movies, “The Mirage”, “The Invisible Guest”, “The Occupant” movies which are on netflix. And i super recommmend the spanish movie series, “The Invisible Guardian”, which is based on book by Delores Redondo, im sure you will love it, like I did. Do check them out!! P.S. love all your videos!! Keep making them more!!
My fav movies :

You know Gaby, they did make movies before 2000.Ever hear of The Godfather,Jaws,Back To The Future,Schindler’s List,Taxi Driver?
I love seeing another person who obsessed with Blade Runner 2049 as much as I do. I don't understand how many people find that film boring. Since you love Jake Gyllenhaal and Dennis Villenueve, I think you'd like Enemy (2013). Check it out, if you haven't.

Miracle
You've Got Mail
A Few Good Men
Behind Enemy Lines
The American President
And I could do a whole seperate list for Christmas movies LOL
Wow we pretty much have the same taste in movies :O 10 of the movies you mentioned are in my top 20 movies of all time. Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 are my top 2 favorite movies, but I've never seen any of Villeneuve's other movies so I'm really excited to watch Prisoners now. And Book Smart!
Other movies I love:
A Ghost Story,
Ad Astra,
1917
Spirited Away
Let the Right One In
Train to Busan
What We Do in The Shadows
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Oh and since you like Parasite, I recommend a movie called Lady Vengeance. It's a well known Korean film from the 2000s and it's one that I think about a lot.
Ditto on the Wolf of Wall Street. Damn funny, on of my favorites. When he was drugged trying to walk to the car, best acting ever. Anything from John Hughes 80’s.
Hi Gabby, greatings from Argentina!
I just wanna ask you if you ever read Sadie by Courtney Summers. I know it's YA book but trust me is a really good solid thriller. Maybe you keep it in mind. Bye!!
Romina Figueroa yes I have read it! I thought it was ok!
Wow, I can't imagine watching "Prisoners" more than once, it's WAY too intense!
I absolutely love The Shining too! I was quite sad to hear about Shelley Duvall’s treatment on the set, though-it kind of tainted the way I see the film. 🥺 Also, if you loved BR2049, I HIGHLY recommend the anime ‘Psycho Pass’!!!! You’ll thank me 10000x 😻😻😻
Mique's Book Club yeah that is sad 😭 and ohhh I’ll have to check it out!
If you haven't, you should definitely check out Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K Dick, the book that inspired both Blade Runner films.
I liked the Shape of Water but I don't quite love it as much as his other film, Pan's Labyrinth. Not only a great fantasy flick, but also a film that portrays the escapism and trauma of a Spanish child during the reign of Franco.
I could recommend hundreds, but please check out Sing Street, Scott Pilgrim vs The World (and indeed any Edgar Wright film), and the Before trilogy (Sunrise, Sunset, Midnight) - the greatest trilogy nobody ever talks about. Booksmart... I agree. A modern classic. Inception too.
I know! I miss going to the movie theater, too 😕 Here's a couple great films. I picked some older stuff, that I maybe you haven't seen yet.
Blood Simple (Coen Brothers 1984) it's one of the best crime thrillers I've even seen.
The Station Agent (2003) excellent.
Run Lola Run (1998) a foreign language film. basically, she has 20 minutes to come up with $100,000.
Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon (2003) horror/comedy. it's a mocumentary chronicling a would-be serial killer.
My top 16 favorite films would be:
16. Le Samouraï (1967)
15. Psycho (1960)
14. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Me @ 0:57 - So that's Inception, dark knight, blade runner, parasite .....
Laura Dern was so good in Little Women. It’s strange that she was nominated for Marriage Story instead. She was good in it but her role wasn’t that large or as important in the movie as Little Women
You go, girl. Or...you gesticulate, girl.
