I was born in 1942 and developed a life-long interest in astronomy at a very your age. I’d like to mention that when I compare your images that you can achieve using modern digital imaging and stacking/processing algorithms, (and your 11-inch scope), the clarity and detail of results far exceed anything that was able to be done in the 1950’s using the 200” Hale (Palomar). This same paradigm when applied to modern observatories speaks volumes about how far both amateur and professional scientist have come. Thanks for sharing your work.
