After watching your video, I learnt and found that same cause happened in my microwave oven. Then I replaced the burnt wave guide and the problem solved. Even I didn't know this wave guide present in a microwave oven. Thank you very much for your video. (From Bangladesh)
Thank you! My magnetron tested good with an Ohm meter, diode tested good too. Watched this video and temporarily removed the cover which had arc burns on it and the oven worked perfectly. Now I see you should replace the cover every 6 months. Fortunately a replacement pack of 5 generic dimensionally equivalent covers costs $9. You can cut your own covers out of sheet material shown on other RUclips sites.
If the magnetron is sparking between is because the antenna is burnout and need to be replace. If the transformer is sparking then the winding have exposed wire.
Thank you 👍. Good question. No it must be same product same material. If you use a substitute it will spark as you can see in my video and will catch a fire. Now you don't want that. Now you wouldn't want that would you. Safety first. In my field safety and standards come first always.
What about a loud humming sound but no sparking and I don't think it sounds like a broken magnetron that sounds like it's spewing something out just some hum
This has been my best hack, within no minute,I've had my microwave restored.
Thank you

Thank you so much, first time anyone I've seen here has mentioned this.

Hi..how do you test the magnetron and the diode?...where can i find that video?
😮 Woow thank you 🙏🏾 so much for your video. Your a life saver. I feel like a handyman after I fixed my microwave 😁.
Were does that cover go can u show us inside and did u buy thd new cover
Thank so much, i will apply your tips
That was exactly what my microwave did. Thank you
Thanks so much bro, your such an inspiration.
No problem bro.
Thank you so much. You are a life saver.
Wow that was super helpful, thank you very much
you welcome.
Why does the waveguard fail?
Thanks live long,,so helpful indeed!!!
Sounds like a good welding machine to me.
What is this piece called and where can I get one
Microwave oven waveguide.
Thanku so much i was so worried how to fix this issue
what about sparking between magnetron and transformer ? any advice

Great video as always. Can something else be substituted for it in case you can't get one to replace?

Wonderful video so helpful, but mine spark with loud noise and frame at back
Thanks ❤

could be the capacitor or magnetron.
Looks like it's time to replace the whole thing.
