Reduced commission I can stomach, but if certain customers get reduced in play delays then that’s completely different and I expect many would boycott in play if that is true, you expect a level playing field with regards to the delay. GREEEEEED!!!! To clarify - although the central character of this video is, in my opinion, fully justified in taking the gambling houses to the cleaners - for instance WHY should card-counting be 'illegal?' If you can profit from it, then good for you! WHY should exchanges (as against straightforward 'bookies') be allowed to levy such high - and frankly ridiculous - charges?! After all, they make a profit from EVERY profitable deal/bet/trade they act as the middleman/agent for! Could it possibly be that they KNOW that 'Joe-Public' understands pretty well SFA about the 'game' of gambling and is therefore an easy target?
they shouldnt be allowed to call it card counting because that implies they are cheating,they should have to say what it really is,someone has got very good at the game
@@garyowen4112 I agree. But - as most of us are aware, the Bookies/Casino's etc are only in the business of making money (as is any business I suppose!) and - like any business - they have the option to restrict/refuse to 'serve' you.

Yet again another great video, I'm surprised some of subjects you have tackled have not been noticed by television production companies as I have no doubt it would gain an explosion of viewers and gain some acclaim within the industry. Needless to say if you would get straight answers.

Good video Caan interesting story shame Betfair did not look after the punters who were prepared to back their opinion and seed the pre race markets on a Saturday before the bots took over.
I think the bots have been there since day one, to one degree or another... I agree though, there is more there now, and they could have been a bit more loyal to those who have been to them!

Most off the biggest punters like Woods and Zeljko came from Australia in the 70s and ,80s.for a number of reasons. Once the tight Pommy bookmakers came to Australia the game was destroyed. Alan Woods was the second biggest punters in his time the world has seen .Absolute genius and the brains behind Bill Benter

I think you may be confused with Bill Benter. They certainly mixed in the same circles though so it wouldn't surprise me either way.

Bloom is not in the same class as Zeljko. He is the biggest the world has ever seen and has been for years. Always wants an edge.
I understand he made a lot of bets but how did he decide on what to bet and what had favourable prices?
I suspect he quite litterally is the market. I don't know for sure - I'd be on a yacht if I knew exactly what he was doing haha.
@@CaanBerryProTrader As far as horse racing - A large team of analysts & software to determine which bets to place, when, and at what price. I still recall over a decade ago standing in the server room at Tabcorp and being shown the LAN cabling running up through the ceiling. What was on the second floor? Allegedly the punters clubs office. When you've got a direct feed into the servers and can place bets milliseconds faster than the general public, it makes a difference!

Rebates and Pommy bookmakers have killed racing in Australia. Rebates should have been banned in Australia from day one. Betting into flat markets is no fun. Even mug punters like Packer were betting in millions in the eighties in Australia until the Pommy bookmakers destroyed the game.
